Amerald had been busy most of the morning, and then the girl had started bothering him a little after lunch about needing new dresses. Amerald didn't really have the knowledge on dresses, but surely they could last a little longer? The girls whoever, had put up a good argument that they were in dire need of new dresses, and that he wouldn't have to worry about anything because they'd measured and written down everything he needed to know. Did it make Amerald feel better about dress shopping alone? Somewhat, but surely a man going out without his daughters would look a little... Out of place? But, like the good father he was, Amerald ended up going out, he couldn't deny the girls new clothing. They were growing after all, and in any case they hadn't hit the teen stage where they wanted every single dress they saw.
That afternoon, Amerald prowled the streets for boutique that had dresses. It took him almost an hour to finally pick a boutique, if he'd known there would be so many he'd have waited until a little later so he wouldn't get into a rush. The boutique looked quiet, so Amerald entered quickly to escape the noisy street. Inside, two elderly women were looking around and turned to him with a glare as if he'd purposefully disturbed him. He gave them a sheepish smile before hurrying over to the counter to wait for someone to notice his entrance.
