The room was really quite dim. It had been good luck that he'd been able to see Keeli at all. Of course, he couldn't have missed the weight that was sitting on the covers. The obvious sign that someone was indeed on the bed. Keeli seemed relieved when he had finally given an answer. She was saying something about scary old houses. How she didn't like them. That she thought Logan had been a monster. The curly haired boy shook his head, thinking the pretty blonde was just silly. Monsters were the people that had taken Becca. The ones that used guns. Monsters were bad people that brought scary red rivers and left them in their wake. That carried guns and did bad things too good people. Monsters were just bad people. Logan surely wasn't a monster. It was also at this point Logan shook his head and jumped out of the bed, extending his hand up for Keeli. She would need help to get out of bed, right? That's what boys were supposed to do right? They were also supposed to carry the girls to sleep, right? He'd seen Lonny do that with Tabby. The panda shifter had said that Tabby had been tired, and so he was carrying her to bed. That meant if Keeli wanted to be awake, he should help her out, right?
Either way, it seemed to make Keeli smile. She even called him "Sir Logan'. That made him feel big and important. It even sounded important. Maybe it meant something special? The curly haired boy hadn't been much for stories of princesses and their knights, but of course, many little boys often turned in stories of princesses for pirates, bugs, trucks, and other less feminine choice. This of course, wasn't much bother to the hedgehog shifter. He and his pretty blonde friend would still get along just fine. Keeli didn't seem to want to let go of his hand either, so he carefully led her to the door, and out of the room. Irial was still sleeping, or so Logan thought. He didn't want to wake up the older shifter at this point. Besides, Irial might get mad, or be grumpy. Logan didn't normally like to get woken up, but he'd been so excited to see Keeli, he'd tossed aside the normal grumpiness that came with rising form bed.
When both Logan himself and Keli were out of the room, Keeli dropped his hand. Logan frowned a bit. He'd liked holding her hand. That was okay though. They were going to play now. It would be impossible to play if they were linked together by their hands! Especially hide and go seek, as Keeli had suggested. When the little blonde turned her blue eyes upon him, Logan smiled and nodded enthusiastically. The house probably did have some nice places to hid. It seemed big enough. But who would go first? he hated to be it, but it wasn't nice to make girls do things because he didn't want to, right? Lonny had told him to be a gentleman when he'd asked about Keeli. That's what he was supposed to do. They were going to play, and she could hide first. "Ok. You go hide, and I'll count, okay?" He smiled, shooing her off, before turning around to put his face against the wall, to show that he wasn't cheating as he counted. After all, who liked to play with a cheater? No one. He didn't. It wasn't fun. But as she started to count, he thought of something. Boundaries. Normally someone set them right? What if Keeli went outside? He shook his head and continued counting. he couldn't stop. It would be considered cheating. he just hoped that it wouldn't be too hard to find Keeli in this big old house.
