[Zeta Six/Bones entering from Beach Travel thread]
Upon approach, Bones laid his eyes on it. Creaking lazily in the distance a decrepit windmill slowly toiling away though it seemed that the rotting wood should give way at any moment. "The town." a salty mutter pursed through his tightened lips. Aside from the creaking the town was just as the name given to it stated: Abandoned. Eerily calm, but to the near point of soothing, the town sat idly under no strains of people walking through it. "At least if someone's going to attack, I'll hear it." Bones muttered, halting near the middle of town, glancing around at the empty streets. As his words traveled he could feel them slice through the tranquil ambiance of the wreckage of a town. There was still a sense of hopefulness rooted into Bones's mind, what better place to look for answers than a place that had buildings that one could peek into.
Perhaps there would be words scrawled on a paper, or information stored somewhere. I don't detect anything... Bones had his eyes glued to the nearest buildings, searching their broken or empty windows for any sign of movement. He was greeted with nothing, not even crawling vermin to draw his eyes. Feeling inclined to stand, he turned back to face the way he had come. The same stretch of rotting buildings greeted his senses as he viewed his lonely footprints leading up through the broken street to his location.
He was alone and he would have to remain until someone else caught up to him. ...If anyone was coming. He sighed but shook the doubt away. Someone had to be coming, there were people here who cared for him, who wanted him around. After all, he had become stronger in such a short time, he healed them and cared about them. He held no false thoughts that perhaps everyone could survive, not anymore. Those had long been deserted upon further reflection of recent events.
His thoughts circled back to the cloaked figure yet again. If he had stayed would he now have the answers he was seeking? The answers they all wanted? Or would he be dead. Dead. The thought sank into his heart. He felt that his team must have survived; they were strong, stronger than him. Face muscles hardened as he frowned. "Dammit, I'm a medic - not a fighter." he whispered, shaking his head a few times to chase the dank thoughts back into the dark.
"I'll make sure they get through this." He said, louder. Perhaps to convince himself or perhaps to stave away any dark creatures which could be lurking close by. There he would remain until his team came into sight through the thick fog, waiting vigilantly until they were reformed again. He'd be there to tend their wounds, to lighten their spirits, to take their hits, regardless the reason he would swear to it. He would be there when they came.

(Zeta Ten Entering from South Travel Thread)
Zeta Ten followed the road, staring at the houses. The once houses. There was not much left of them now, a dilapidated excuse for living structures, with missing or destroyed roofs, cracked and peeling paint, missing doors and broken windows. "What a joke," she muttered to herself, sighing.
She had to look away, find something else to focus on. Anything else really until she noticed anyone else here. Then she saw it. Him? Her? She didn't know for sure, but a person was standing in the road. It could even be Zeta Six, but she wasn't sure.
Then again, there was only one way to find out. Hurrying her pace a little, she quickly walked towards either the person she wanted to see, or possible instant death. "Bones?" she asked, when she was within hearing distance without having to shout. She stayed back just in case she needed to draw her gun, and waited for a response.

[Zeta Six is using Bandages on Himself]
While he was waiting the dull pain in his arms began to give way and his mind circled around the heavy appendages. Taking his eyes from the misty city he grabbed at his bandages, pulling out the roll and holding his arms out. Surveying his arms, he began to lay out how much should be used. His team would still need him and those bandages, there was no room for a selfish medic, but even further no tolerance for a medic without bandages to use.
Bones stared for several moments before coming to his final decision. More bandages would mean he would survive longer to fight, heal and find answers. Without the ability to do so he would become useless and in the survival game, a useless person was a dead or killed person. Wrapping himself up he felt like a mummy, but it was a breath of fresh air to his mind and the pain seemed to dull instantaneously.
That was more like it, the medic at his calling helping himself to help others - to become strong in his specialization, but that came at a risk...
Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by the appearance of another figure in the mist. Friend, foe? He shoved the bandages away again and went into a defensive position, only to let his arms drop at the sight of a familiar orange suit.
"That you, Cupcake?" He squinted as she approached, the "X" emblazoned on her. Of course it was her. "Good to see a familiar face out here." He mused, "Well, one that isn't under a hood or horse-like." It elated his mood tremendously to see her again. Some familiarity at least, paint to the monochromatic world of the Abandoned Town.
"Did you see anyone else?"

Zeta Ten smiled behind the mask, happy she had found him and even happier he had recognized her. She had noticed him bandaging himself and was glad he was taking care of himself too.
"I didn't see anyone," she said, walking up to stand before him. "No one from before at least." Cupcake, as he called her, looked at him, wondering what was going on behind his mask. It was hard to reassure someone when you couldn't really tell what they were thinking, but she was pretty sure he could use consolation. She knew she could with the circumstances, so she added, "Doesn't mean they aren't following though."
There wasn't much else to say for now, but the silence bothered her as they just stood looking at each other. "I'd say we should look for somewhere to sleep or find food, but I'm not sure how much is out here..." she muttered. "We can try anyway."

Bones was happy to see her, but he couldn't let the elation cloud his better judgment. He cleared his throat thoroughly before addressing her. "No one else on the road here?" He sighed loudly, but then went rigid, back to his hardened state. "Yeah, I'm sure they'll come." He was no longer sure if he was just trying to be strong on her sake or if he felt the words would assist him as well.
"You can look around if you really want to, though..." He looked at her, the bright orange discs covering his eyes staring blankly towards her. "Not sure on food. Oddly enough, I haven't been hungry... or thirsty. Just... tired." Sleep, now that sounded good. But with everything going on just the mere thought of closing his eyes brought with it a horror of ideas. Would he dream if that were the case? Would they be pleasant... or?
He snapped back to reality. "Stay in sight if you go looking around. I want to see if more show up."

She figured it was a good idea. Now that he mentioned it, she wasn't really hungry either, hadn't been since this had begun. That seemed odd, but she wasn't in the mood to dwell on it.
Nodding, she turned to decide where to look first. "I'll see if anywhere looks good to sleep," she said, before walking towards a group of houses nearby. Somewhere in one of them had to be blankets, maybe a soft surface to lay down on. She was tired too. "I'll let you know if I find anything."
With that, she disappeared into the houses, searching high and low in the hopes of finding anything that would help to make sleeping easier, even if only a good roof over their heads for now. Then again, it might be better to take turns sleeping outside where it would be easier to spot people passing through. Back to looking for blankets and possibly pillows.

Zeta 9 enter
This town was giving her the creeps. It certainly lived up to the title of abandoned. Smashed windows and crumbling walls occupied the buildings lining the streets. There were no signs of life. Not even birds or rats scavenging through the hollow buildings.
She really shouldnt be on her own in a place like this. There may seem to be nothing in the buildings, but that shadowy figure at the beach had snuck up with no sound, so why not something else? These battered and ruined constructions were perfect hiding places.
Nine was about to panic slightly - alone was not good! - when suddenly she saw figures ahead. Orange clad figures. She practically melted in relief at the sign of Teammates, their suits revealing them as Zetas 6 and 10. As she approached she saw 10 go off and begin to root through the buildings. Possibly not a bad idea, sans the fact that anything could lurk in those. Oh well, there were three of us to take whatever could jump out.
Once she had come within speaking distance, Zeta 9 raised a hand in greeting, weapon away incase in this anyone-can-be-an-enemy situation her weapon was connotated with danger. "Finally found you guys. This place is creepy".

There was a buzzing at his side like an angry be in a nest. Bones grabbed at it quickly and stared down at the screen. "Looks like we've survived... 4 more days." It was both a blessing and a curse to read those words. They'd already come so far and yet...
Tilting his head he saw another orange and black figure emerge from the fog. Another smile crossed his face. It was Nine. Finally the group was coming back together, and quickly. Bones smiled again, though it remained to be seen. "I'd say so, but the more we have the better off we are, I'd say." He looked past her to the fog once more. "Anyone else with you?" He was happy to see her, that was for certain, but that lingering thought. Seven... and the Theta girl?

As she watched Six answer his phone, her own started to vibrate. Another "congratulations". Was it really so great to be still alive in this place? Should they really feel so good for surviving when others had fallen at the hands of trickery and manipulation?
Sliding her phone back, she turned to adress Six's question. "Unless I've been stalked through the fog then no. I'm not sure where the others have got to..."
There had definatly been more of them before they had started travelling. Had something - or someone - got seven and the Theta? It was a disturbing thought, but she could only hope they were just further behind.

Zeta One Enter from South Traveling thread
She wasn't exactly sure how she'd found them. But she did. The little girl (because, really, she was nothing more than a little girl) wandered through town, hoping to find the pair, but not sure if she would.
She knew they wouldn't be expecting her. She was, after all, just a tag along.
Perhaps she should have stayed behind...
One came up on the group, and waved a tentative hand. She was meek. How fast a walk could make her so timid and small. It was really shocking to her.
"H-hi guys..." she said softly once she'd gotten close enough to speak.

A rather timid group, but his group none the less. Bones blinked and made a light whistle with his lips, as if to be a calling to the others to come together. It was unnerving, standing in the center of the broken town, watching as the nothingness of the fog enveloped more and more of the bleak surroundings.
It was silent, so silent... His head turned and he heard the scuffle of feet and the feeling of something sinister hanging overhead. That feeling, it only came around when they were around. Scowling he scanned the area again, moving closer to Zeta One and Zeta Nine. "We're not safe here." Anxiously he grabbed at his bandages and pulled them out, looking around the area.
If there was something dark luring out there he wanted to be there to fend it off for his group, or at least investigate the dark vibes to figure out the source. He looked directly towards where Zeta Ten had gone. "Cupcake!" he shouted, cupping a hand around his mask so his voice projected loudly.
"I need you to come back and stay together, there's something I need to check out." He blinked and looked back to where he had heard the far off sounds. Surely there... that would be the source of answers, the end of the quest. In more ways than one, perhaps? A self-destructive smile graced his face, unseen to the group of girls that had gathered.
"Stay safe girls... please." He took a step. "There's something here... something dark... something dangerous..." God this was sounding more and more like a cheesy horror film, but the panicked and frightened feeling remained as lingering over his head. He took another step and turned his face back to view them. They who had followed him, they who counted on him. Frowning, he made an inhuman growl and turned back.
"If you want to come with me, please do but know that where I'm going..."
A pause.
"I probably won't be coming back from."
With that he moved closer to the source of the strange sound, head held high and fists clenched tightly. He was Bones, dammit, not a number and not a coward.

She looked up at Bones and felt a sliver of... respect? loyality? she wasn't sure what it was. But as she watched him go closer to the sound, the timid girl felt something pull at her. It wasn't that she wanted to go, it was that she felt like she needed to.
She had only a number to her person, and she was a timid one at that. But One felt safe with him. She trusted him with her existance.
Perhaps she should try to protect his as well.
"I'll come... Figure, if I go down, at least I'll go down fighting rather than curled up in a ball of cowardness," she said softly. She took a few steps towards him and looked back at the group for a moment.
"We should help him," she said, before walked after him.

She could feel it too; that telltale ominous presence that could only mean one thing. They were back.
Nine found herself once again caught in an internal debate as to whether or not to go check things out and participate in whatever cruel event had been set up this time.
But then Six went, followed by one. Nine frowned. Cowardice was not a good thing, and shying away from this would make her seem like one. Oh this place warped her desicion making skills so. She was probably going to kick herself later for this (that is, if she didnt end up dead), but her feet seemed to move of their own accord to follow the others to possible impending doom.

Zeta Ten heard Zeta Six's words, and watched him go. She consequently watched everyone else go after him, and stood in the doorway of the house she had been in, deep in thought. Sitting on the doorstep she thought about which course of action to take next, as she was alone again. Following was her first instinct, but then a thought occured to her.
All she had been doing up to this point was follow Zeta Six around like a lost puppy. Maybe it was because he was the first person to be nice to her, the first person she saw when she woke up in the Home Tent? Maybe it was because he was the first to not see her as a number, and give her a name. But what was a cupcake anyway? Sweet? A nice thought, but enough of a reason to keep following the boy when he clearly left them? It was obvious the others had folowed, but...
What a completely girlish thing to do! She had to laugh at herself. Only a girl would become so obsessed because a guy was nice even if the only reason for it was he was as desperate as she was. It was time she set out on her own. Made a name for herself. Lived or died by her own rules.
Laughing again, she ignored how campy those thoughts were and stood again, feeling a bit revitalized at making a decision of her own for once. She walked back down the way she had come, leaving the thoughts of sleep behind for now. With that, she left the abandoned town.
