Makkura_Tsuyagoto Peace Love And Skate Makkura; As disgusted as I am, that's cool as hell. I don't think I could ever get a tattoo. It just seems paradoxical to adorn your body with imagery. Could get me too attached to my own decorative body, or the imagery associated with Buddhism. I know, I had the same reaction. I just wish I could see what it's like now that it's healed. sad I think that's cool, it's a good reminder of what the body looks like just beneath the skin. It's not at all pretty. Still, I would also like to see it now that it's healed. Curioser and curioser!

I would love to get a tattoo of Buddha on my back yakuza-style!
Hmm nah too flamboyant. I'll just settle for a small dharma wheel and yin-yang tattoos. :3

In my family, tattoos are a tradition. It was actually quite hard to come up with a tattoo idea that was pleasant without being flamboyant, and respectful without being too dull. I like the idea of tattoos, though. While they may represent attachment to this body, and a certain vanity that comes with wanting the "look" of a tattoo, they can also represent reverence for something, and a symbol of devotion.
I guess in some twisted way you could look at the pain associated with getting a tattoo as being detached enough from the body to torture it. But, given that our goal is non-attachment, not detachment, that kinda misses the mark.

Artistically, I wonder how the cut-out flesh will heal...(while it 'looks good' while bleeding, it'd probably be a lot different later)
