…The Armaments of Battle
Into battle, a warrior may take items, armour on his back, or a weapon at his hand- and any combination of these. These tools may spell the difference between a clear victory and a painful defeat, or a hasty retreat. A smart soldier makes the best use of his equipment as he can, and works hard to earn them to gain the edge in combat. All are simple enough to understand, dear Wincantherian.
• A weapon generally adds to ones' Attack.
As you may imagine, a soldier's offensive equipment boosts the damage that he may do with his strikes. Weapon bonuses stack on top of calculated damage to form an additional bracket of injury dealt to your opponent.
• Armour detracts from wounds a soldier sustains.
Armour provides a stable defense that means a blow wrought upon a soldier will hurt him less substantially than it would an unarmoured man. For all damage dealt to you, dear Wincantherian, subtract your armour's value from that figure for the final damage done.
• Items may vary greatly in effect.
Items are a true wild card, dear Wincantherian. These will be given out most likely in events, and may be chosen to have almost any effect you could conceive- you will need to wait to see what is dreamed up!
