 Who Knews It is a junk shop near the outskirts of town. They carry everything and anything you could think of. Though, it's a real pain to find anything specific. Best to come to this shop with an open mind and a like for searching for your own surprises.

Josh had been wandering the city most the day, trying to find something interesting to do. He had a bit of coin in his pocket, and knew about the junk shop so had been slowly making his way there. At the moment he was digging through a box on the floor that was seemingly filled with broken glass figures, hoping to find something that was still whole.
The ringing phone made him jump in surprise (******** Inc. by NIN "STEP RIGHT UP, MOSH, PUSH"), dropping to his a** on the ground to fish it out of his front pocket before the shopkeeper gave him an even dirtier look. He almost dropped the thing in his hurry, flipping it open.
"Oy, Reg? Got your one phonecall finally, eh?"

"Just havin' a good day. Plus, if your daughter already thinks m'famous you must be talking good about me." Josh laughed, tossing the glass figure he was holding; an elephant with only one tusk; back into the depths of the box.
"She kinda saved my a** the other night."

"No way man. I got my hands full enough right now, so to speak." He trailed off a bit, thinking about Godfrey, about homework he didn't care to do, all of it.
"When're you getting out of there? Or you gunna get to play with your little supervisor in tow?" Josh frowned a bit, having broken one of the poor elephants legs off. He didn't want to talk about school s**t. His heart was pounding hard enough thinking about playing with the Sluts. He needed practice.

Josh pushed the box of broken trinkets away. The shopkeeper had gone off somewhere else, hopefully trusting Josh not to take anything. Josh was happy the phone had rung here, where it was quiet, peaceful almost. There were many situations where this phonecall would have been... much different.
"Eh, you'll get out of there eventually, Reg. I don't pretend to really know what's going on, or why you're really even there in the first place... just got a good feeling about how things are going." He chewed his lip in thought. The ground outside where he was sitting was slightly damp, and he could feel his jeans were soaked through. It was pleasant, cold. He was actually wearing a hat today, as it had been raining earlier. As always.
"I just..." He trailed off. It was stupid to say thank you, or ask why he was picked or whatever, even though he wanted to. He had to stop being so paranoid about it and just go with it. "We'll figure it out, for sure. I can stop by the CBGB on my way back even. Been walking all day with nothing to do anyways."

"Man, I.... I am so excited, man. This is great. S'gunna be great, Reg, I'm telling you." whee Josh stood up, just barely avoiding hitting his head off a giant wind chime that was hanging from one of the funky metal abstract statues.
"I can head over there now and see what's up. And yeah I got Mari's number the other night and everything so I will call her, or something, and definitely come see you. Ha, why wouldn't I want to? This... it's gunna be great, Reg. Just survive your bootcamp and play nice, right? And I'll try and do the same. Like, not get in trouble or... you know." Josh took a deep breath, careful to avoid all the doodads strewn about as he made his way back to the sidewalk.
"Godfrey will maybe come Saturday, will be cool. What are you... I mean, any fun plans for you today then? Knitting class, or like, finger painting?" Josh leaned against the mismatched fence, feeling like this week was going perfectly; and it was only going to get better.

"I'm more worried about... ah, doesn't matter. Figure it all out when it comes to me. Only got in trouble the other night cuz we snuck out to go to a concert... wasn't really trouble anyways, I guess. Actually turned out more fun getting caught than anything."
"And I wouldn't break church windows, not on purpose, heh. Or alcohol, heads screwy enough as is, generally speaking. But yeah I will have to visit soon... anything you want me to bring? CD's or a guitar of your, somethin'?" The rain started to fall steady now, but he was safe against the fence, a large gargoyle wing providing an overhang for the moment.

Chuckles a bit, shaking his head. "I see. Well, I'll have to be enough then I suppose."
He thought on this, smiling more. He couldn't remember a phone conversation that was ever so enjoyable. Except maybe the one time when his friend had called him at the hospital to tell him how rad the video came out.
He got the 'candy' reference obviously. "If I never took candy from strangers I wouldn't be where I am now. But I get what you're saying... don't worry about little ol' me. I think maybe I should go though... rain is really starting to come down, and it'd be nice to get somewhere I can dry off before I really get soaked..."
Josh had hoped to get to CBGB but thought it might be better not to today since it was pretty much on the opposite end of the city. He'd at least need to wait for the rain to stop, or get an umbrella.

"Yeah I'll call you later. Figuring you keep your phone privileges for that long, at least, right? I'll uhm, talk to you once I get to CBGB maybe or whatever. Somethin'." Josh set the phone in the crook of his shoulder so he could rub his hands together, warming them. His fingers were getting cold from just holding the phone.
The rain still came down, but it was just a pattering, nothing he hadn't walked miles in before. "Catch you later, Reg." He moved to hang up the phone, waiting for what Reg had to say.

Josh closed the phone, staring at it for a minute before his face broke out in a huge grin. he punched the air before shoving the phone back in his pocket. "Yes. ********, this is going to be awesome."
He took off down the sidewalk, heading to the CBGB, hardly feeling the rain as he went.
