╫Character Description╫

Personality: To call her sane would be a lie, but to call her crazy would be the understatement of a lifetime. Due to the cataclysmic events that shaped her childhood and early teen years, Sanae is sadistic and bloodthirsty, relishing the thought of killing another, regardless of whom they may be. She was given her name by her parents, who grew rice and farmed for a living, as an astrologer had told her parents that the rice seedlings for the year that she was born would provide surplus crops and increase the family wealth. She has a level, strategic mind, and relies heavily on predetermined attacking rather than impulse. She keeps a clear head, and can think up tactics in the blink of an eye. She never talks, only ever snaps, threatens, and demands, and refuses to show anyone respect who has not earned it. She is angry at the world for reasons that only she knows of, but shows undying loyalty to those who deserve it. Sanae is very determined, concentrated and independent. Sanae has a lone wolf attitude. Despite this, Sanae does show compassion, as she cares deeply for peoples’ safety, but often fails to see how much others cares about her the same way. When she was sixteen, Sanae was raped by an unknown stranger, and had a baby as a result. Her daughter is two and never leaves Sanae's sight. Interestingly, Sanae seems slightly shy towards physical proximity outside of a combat situation. Sanae appears normal around her daughter, and Nike's physical presence calms her normally brutal nature. Sanae would die for Nike, and will go to the end of the earth to protect her daughter. Nike can usually be found adhered to her mother's hip, damn the consequences. Sanae also reacts quite strangely when she sees blood, but the reasons behind this are unknown…

╫Background Information╫
It was hard to forget the day of her life that turned the rest upside down, the day that molded her to become bloodthirsty and cruel. It was hard to forget the day of her life that changed her forever into a weapon. It was hard to forget the day that only she would remember, being the only one who lived to tell the tale.
When the men came, it was midnight and raining. It always seemed to rain when something dramatic happened, as if Kami was sending the rain to wash away the ensuing tears. Her tears would fall louder than thunder within the same hour that the men came.
The door seemed to explode inward, splinters and fragments showering the stunned Kettei family that sat together in the living area. Nike was seated, asleep, on Sanae's lap as Sanae and Kurai conversed in light, casual voices, the rhythm and cadence of their conversation blending with the nighttime sounds to create a sort of lullaby for the little girl. Nike sat up and cried out in surprise as she was roughly torn from Sanae's arms, her head striking the doorframe with an audible cracking sound. The little girl began to bleed as Sanae was bound, gagged, and tossed roughly into the back of a wagon. Her daughter's cries haunted her through the night as blood caked the toddler's thick reddish hair.
Sanae never learned of her brother’s fate after the family was taken from their home that night. She and Nike were sold like animals to a mystery bidder, who initially intended to make the little girl a mistress or a servant. However, after watching the eighteen-year-old Sanae use the heel of her hand to smash the nose of one of the men who delivered her to her master, his intentions changed, and Sanae future was decided. She was trained in weaponry and learned about swordsmanship, even learned a couple of jutsu from the people who were turning her into something deadly. She merely lacked the motivation to kill, to destroy. So her master, as she was forced to call him, gave her the motivation that she needed.
She was bound and locked in a room for three days, given no food or water, while the same two guards that had taken her from her home that night raped and beat her, then turned on her daughter, who was not yet two. The little girl cried out as one of the men pinched her, and Sanae broke through the ropes that bound her. When Sanae and Nike was finally released, little blue-eyed, sweet Sanae had turned into a bloodthirsty monster, her eyes steely. The two men lay dead on the floor, both of them ensanguined.
From there, she became the worst kind of monster imaginable. Her master changed everything about her, even her name. In time, she forgot who she really and truly was.
Her name was Sanae, and she did terrible things. She swore to serve a dark master. She committed crimes in his name. She killed people at his bidding. She betrayed and attacked everyone who was once her only friends. One by one, she annihilated the only people who could stand in her way. And with no one to stop her reign of terror, she brought entire villages to their knees.

Her name was Sanae, and she did terrible things.

And she had absolutely no regrets.
