"I see, I'll stick to cooking other animals. I'm actually decent with that." He said as he looked at her blush then smile. "Guess I can impress you." He said before turning his attenction back to Rishima.
She wanted to know how he tricked it. He quickly came up with the trick in his head. "How did I trick it? I said it couldn't catch my sword in it's mouth. It said it could and I tossed my sword into it's mouth. It swallowed my sword and chocked on it. Then I went and saved the princess. Isn't that right Chandra?" He said smiling at her.
He watched Chandra gently wipping Rishima's mouth and wondered did he really miss out on that in life? He looked at her for a moment and stood up and walked back over to the cakes before Chandra even told him too. He randomly took a piece of the strawberry and sat down. "So how old are you Rishima?" He asked her curiously as he took a bite of the food. It tasted so well.

Chandra's ears peeked up at the sounds of his own cooking skills, "animals....?" she said, not disguised but curious, "What do you cook? Maybe you can show me sometime." Then he made another comment that made her wonder -why did he think he could impress her? Because she blushed? She was confused but never commented on it.
As he told her daughter a story that was absolutely impossible but a sweet attempt on his part she couldn't help but smile, yet once again he caught her by surprise, espescially when Rishima turned and looked for her as confirmation. Was Jonas trying to say that when he saved her from being lost he saved a princess? Or instead was he saying that she simply watched him save this princess? But as she looked at her daughters face she couldn't help but say, "Its true little Rishi, and now..." she placed a hand on her head, "I give my princess rights to you!"
Rishima's entire face lit up as she looked back to Jonas with a wide grin, "I'm a pwincesssss!"
As Jonas asked about Rishima's age her heart felt like it was about to explode, she knew these questions where going to arise but since she hated lying she had not been able to come up with any answers. Body wise she knew her daughter looked and acted like a three year old. She stroked her daughters hair and lookd to Jonas with a smile, "A lady never reveals her age Jonas - you know that!"
Rishima continued to smile and wiggle on her chair with pride at being a princess, blistfully unaware of the impact of their conversation since she chirped "Tweee weeks!" As she tugged her mothers sleeve and pointed to the strawberry tart that Jonas had taken a bite of. It looked yummy.
Chandra got Rishima a piece of cake, hoping that Jonas thought she got 'weeks' and 'years' mixed up, an easy mistake for someone her age.

He gave a slight shrug when she asked him what he cooked. "Pretty much basic stuff. Cattle, bird, and on very rare occasions fish with rice or some side of that nature. I bet your a better cook then me."
He didn't really think his statement toward Chandra had more then one explanation then again he pretty much came up with it out of his hat. As he saw Rishima turn to him he bowed to her like a servant, "You are Milady!" He said trying to stifle a laugh.
Jonas was a little surprise when he heard Chandra said that very old statement. He already tried to guess Rishima's age was between three and four but he knew he could be wrong. "Indeed I do!" He smiled as he leaned back some. He never really could get it, why not say your age instead of giving hints? Cougars were bad with that in his book.
He lifted a eyebrow as the little girl suddenly chirped three weeks. It was cute the simple mistake was. "Ahh, your very mature for your age then." He smiled then turned to Chandra.
"How long have you been in Nuan?" He asked, he been investigating the city for nearly two months now and hadn't meet her.

Rishima giggled and petted Jonas's head as he bowed. Before looking up her mother and beaming. "I like pwincess!"
Then she got up and bowed to them both, "Go play?"
Chandra smiled and nodded to Rishima, "Of course, have fun!" And as soon as the words had left Chandra's lips Rishima ran away to her room to go and play. It always made Chandra smile to see her daughter happy and innocent, she just hoped she could keep it that way.
Turning her attention back to Jonas, "Not long. I moved here for work about a month ago, but due to my profession I tend to spend a lot of time on strange schedules." It was the truth, in fact it was due to one of the midwives that she had found her way to Ameralds store at all that day. She had overheard them talking to a couple who had been trying for a while and suggested that some fertility herbs may help them, of course that was before Chandra had accepted that she was born infertile. It had taken her a whole week to pluck up the courage to seek out Ameralds store.... it was the best decision she had ever made. "Why do you ask?"

He gave a laugh at having himself petted. "I bet you do." He sai as he watch her run off.
Jonas looked at Chandra for a moment then shook his head. "So, how long have you had Chandra?" He asked turning on his stool to look at her.
"I can understand what you mean. Childbirth isn't usually a nine to five type of thing." He said talking another bite from the tart. "No reason..." He said, he finally remembered here he seen those markings.
His blue eyes peered into hers this time making sure to look for anything if she lied. "We'll there is, I seen a marking style like her's before. It was on a hraapea..." He said looking at her, he wasn't going to put either at risk. He just had to know to make sure, he just had too. "And by three weeks did she literally mean three weeks?" He said watching her eyes like a predatory animal.

Chandra fell silent for a long while, part of her knew that Jonas would likely figure it out. Especially since Chandra wasn't lying or answering most of his questions.
"I...." She rubbed her temples softly, "...can't say." Not saying anything was not lying, though it would like insinuate that he was right. She was worried for her daughters safety -would they need to move? If she needed to she would travel to the ends of the world to keep Rishima safe.
"Forgive me Jonas," she said getting up and walking through the kitchen with hers and Rishima's empty plates before placing them into the sink, "I will protect her.... even from you!" She said as she turned around to face him once more. A fierce determination on her face.
"I suppose....." she said sighing as she walked towards him, "that since you have guess I could fill in some of the gaps. Of course you would have to swear to keep it a secret. If you EVER" she emthasised the word, "endanger her I will hunt you down like a dog, I am sure my father would aid my quest if I asked." Part of her hoped that Jonas could be trusted, after all this was her most valuable secret.

Jonas watched her silently as she got up and walked away. His eyes stayed on her as she took each step away. His mind wasn't really thinking it was like it was on standby hoping for the next bit of information. Part of him wanted her to say no and he'd would of dropped it instantly. The other half was almost drooling at all the other possible information. He couldn't deny it, she knew where to obtain one.
He had been half listening to her as she spoke, he heard the words but they just bounced around. Although he understood her threat fully. That was the last thing he truthfully wanted. He stood up for a moment and put his hand on his heart. "I swear I wouldn't do anything to hurt you or your daughter on my honor and on my life." Jonas spoke truthfully and it showed in every way.
As he watched her silently for a moment he didn't know what else to say or ask. He wasn't expecting anything like this. "...Is she really three weeks old?" He asked finally.

She paused for a short while truning to the sink to wash the dishes and to keep her hands full and to stop herself from attacking him just to make sure he was telling her the truth. Her father had taught her to fight and although she didn't tend to use her skills she wouldn't hesitate if Rishima was in danger.
At last she dried her hands and turned to him. "Yes." Blunt and to the point.

"I see..." He said watching her silently as the big question floated around his head. Who was this mad scientist. He tried to mentally avoid but it was hard.
Finally he sighed and rubbed the back of his neck. "...I just don't understand...why invite me here if your daughter was a hraapea?" He said watching her with a frown as he questioned it himself. Was she that sure he wouldn't do anything? She didn't know if he had a secret agenda, he could take her if he really wanted too. Then a sudden frown appeared on his face as he thought back to something he had found out it was sketcy but he didn't rule it out. Some said hraapea could use powers at will but he didn't have any proof.
"Does she...can she..." He frowned feeling like an idiot asking this next question. "Can she shoot lightning from her eyes?" He asked his face slightly red from embarrassment, it was a horrible rumor but he didn't rule it out. He had a comical look between his red face and the embarrassed look.
Although if it was true he didn't want to have a sudden lighting bold kill him out of the blue.

She took a seat next to him again and looked at him as he asked his questions. She smiled softly and copied his motion as she rubbed the back of his neck. "Em.... I was using you." She blushed softly, there had been something about him when they had met that made her believe he wouldn't do anything to harm her (or her daughter) though she couldn't explain it. Deciding he deserved some sort of explaination she continued, "I needed to see if her outfit would hide most of her.... 'oddities', she cringed at the word. To her there was nothing wrong with her daughter. "Since you already know about hraapea... well.... you can guess the rest."
She looked away from him and leaned on her hands on the table. "I am sorry Jonas."
Then he asked about 'powers' and she giggled, she had no idea where he got it from it but she couldn't help herself smile as she turned to look at him. "No, she can't do that." The fact that she could control air, or was learning to with Annabelle was not something she was about to tell him.

He gave a slight sigh as he heard that she was using him. It was better to be used then killed by a three week old girl that couldn't even spell chocolate. "Well I don't know what you mean by 'oddities' so I guess it works then." He said leaning back against the table looking at her.
He gave a slight smile as she apologized to him. "Don't worry about it. I been used by women before. Although they never made me any cake." He said resting his hand on her shoulder. "Could be worse, you could of tested if she could beat up a old guy!"
As he listened to her talk he gave a understanding nod. "I see. Well...that is kind of disappointing. I heard a rumor where they saw one supposedly zap a hound to death. I'm not to surprised it's another rumor." He said taking that out of his mental ideal soldier.
"Three weeks and she can talk like she's three years old...amazing." He said shaking his head. "Angels among humans...but...where is their god?" He said looking at her, he didn't expect to get a answer let alone a truthful one but he had hope she would tell him. He thought he hid it but it showed brightly in his eyes, he wanted one so bad.

She smiled and giggled at his answer, "I bet none have used you quite like this before Jonas. I suppose I owe you a little...." she paused for a moment and then looked to the kettle, "...would you like a drink?"
She stood up to make herself a green tea, "I must admit I hate lying.... and so all I shall say to you is I can not tell you." She gave him a soft smile as she mixed the tea leaves with the water and strained them with expert hands. "However, Rishi has been just like this for three weeks, I collected her like this. All I can claim credit for is teaching her new things. I just wish I could teach her more, show her the world."
"Jonas, why are you really questing for information on the hraapea?"

He got a chuckled out of her statement, yeah this was on another level with being used. "Your right about that madam. Why yes please." He said accepting it.
As he listened to her speak he frowned getting her answer. It did hurt a little being so close to the answer. If he didn't know her he might of tortured it out of her, but he couldn't do that, not to Chandra anyway. He looked away for a moment before speaking, "I understand..." He said looking at the floor.
"That's interesting. So they are quick learners." he said looking at the kettle then hearing her questions his motives he looked at her.
At first he thought of a lie, but she had leveled with him so he would with her. "Since you told me truth I'll tell you the truth. Originally I started questing for information to see if I could make the perfect soldier so I could use it to get my place back in the military. I found everything I needed was in them. Strong, fast, and smart. Now though I want to create the perfect soldier...but for different reasons. This one is a lot different." He said, he knew she probably find him disguesting but he was being truthful. "A lot of it change since I got deeper and meet one...I realized I could get a family...but that is only secondary to me." He added that statement to hope and take away some of hte monstor edge to him. He already starting wording how to explain why he wanted to create this soldier.
