It was another beautiful day, the sun was out casting warm rays all across the meadow, which made rock sunning quite enjoyable. This was a certain meek little fawn's new favorite place. Having been finally forced from her thicket by her mother she now called this rock home, or rather this was mostly where she spent her days. Though Armani Verre would usually hate being out in the open the lake was calming. It was quiet and there were always some nearby bushes she could dart into if trouble did come along.

Opening one eye lazily, Armani stretched, moving down to the edge of her rock to take a drink. A few silvery fish swan over to inspect the drinking fawn. Spying the fish Armani giggled. "Hewwo wish (Hello fish)!" she exclaimed, leaning over the rock to get a better look at the shiny creatures. Normally Armani was frightened of other animals or "scarwie monstwers" as she liked to call them, thinking they were out to get her. Fish however were different. They were small and harmless and well the not being able to leave the water thing helped a lot too.

So there the little purple fawn was, teetering on the edge her rock and unfortunately this wasn't exactly the driest, being next to a lake and all. So maybe leaning over the edge on this rock wasn't the best idea cause there she went, head first into the lake, causing a small splash and all the silvery fishes to scatter.

Eden was prancing about (ala Pepe LePew), ecstatic to finally be out of her thicket and out into the sun-filled world her mother had only let her peek at. Not to say she didn't find her thicket fascinating, she did really, but one could only explore it so much before one ran out of things to do. The world was much more vast and interesting than her thicket, and no matter how far she went there would always be new, interesting (see: pretty) things for her to see, smell, and taste...even if the latter was warned against.

"La la la~ Butterflies they fly fly fly in the sky they fly fly fly~" she sang as she followed several orange and yellow butterflies about the field, trying to butt them with her nose with every upward bounce. She remained in her happy, sing-song world until a splash drove her attention to the lake. "Oooh~?"

Eden quickly pranced over to the lake edge and stared down at the purple fawn face first in the water. She tilted her head curiously, wondering why another herla would be in this position. Logic didn't dictate Eden's world, at least not logical logic. Never once did she think that perhaps this fawn might have fallen in. Or that maybe she was taking a bath. No, Eden's logic told her that this must be a game of some sort and now it was time to play. And thus, Eden fell face first into the lake as well, giggling all the way down, and then some.

Hearing another splash Armani attempted to struggle up from her face first position, only to trip over herself (being the somewhat klutzy thing she was) and end up exactly how she had been a few seconds before. Her second attempt however proved victorious and after sneezing and snorting out the water she had inhaled in her fall, she looked around. Whatever had made that splash had to still be close by.

Even though the purple fawn's hair hindered her vision quite a bit (and even more so when it was wet) she could still make out basic shapes. Rocks, check. Fish, check. Water, check. Weird feathery thing sticking out of the water, definitely NOT normal.

Armani darted out of the water faster then she could exclaim "monstwer". She barreled behind the rocks she had been sleeping on just that morning, hiding herself behind them the best she could. Normally she would have ran for her thicket but, for some reason that not even she could understand she wanted to see what this creature was. And even though she was shaking like usual, she wasn't exactly completely scared of this strange feathery being.

Eden watched the other hind flail about through the water, giggling at the distortion it made and then giggling again at the weird sound her voice made underwater. Suddenly the purple fawn was gone from her vision and Eden pouted at the algae covered rocks before surfacing...but not for the reason sane people would assume.

"If we're playin' hide-n-seek you hafta tell me to count y'know!" Eden pranced out of the water and over to the Obvious Hiding Spot that Armani was obviously (hi there tails) hiding behind. Eden pressed their noses together and giggled. "See? If I don't close my eyes and count I find you real quick~ And that's no fun!"

Armani started at the other voice. So whatever that winged creature had been had seen her. Peeking out from behind her rock, the little purple Hind was quick to dart back into hiding after realizing whatever that had been seemed to have...moved.

Armani began shaking uncontrollably after realizing this. What if it knew where she was hiding. What if it ate her? There was no one here to protect her!

And oh god! it seemed to have found her. It seeming to be a very beautiful Hind, one of the prettiest Armani had ever seen. "U-Ummm..." the little Hind trailed off, blushing at the nose bump. She struggled for a few minutes, attempting to hide the blush, before continuing. "W-What's Hiwd-an-week? (Hide-n-seek)"

Eden tilted her head slightly, confused about Armani's pronunciation. "Hide-n-seek," she repeated slowly and then noticed her shivering. "Ohhh, you're cold! That's why you're talkin' silly~" Eden nuzzled up close to the other fawn, partially wrapping herself around her. "My momma has the same kind of pelt. She's always cold too! I'll warm you up and then we can play!" Eden beamed happily, wings fluttering.

"Hide-n-seek is a game and um, the hider goes and hides somewhere and the seeker closes their eyes and counts while the hider hides and then goes to find them! It's pretty fun! I play it with my poppa a lot and I always win~ I'm the best hider ever! But I wanna try seekin' too!" (Fun reality fact: Lucio has no idea he's playing and thus never really searches for her).

Armani attempted to back away from the other fawn, not exactly being the most touchy-feely of deers and well she had only just met this other fawn. It was to late however, and she was wrapped up in Eden's nuzzle. She blushed slightly, looking away from Eden, embarrassed to be curled up with such a pretty fawn.

Armani blinked under her hair and attempted to look this little yellow fawn in the face while she explained the game (not that you could really tell though). She perked up a little when she heard it was a game about hiding. She was just about the best hider ever! or rather she did spend most of her time in hiding. "I wike hidwing (like hiding) too!" she exclaimed, with childish excitement.
