Controlling
Anise needs to constantly be in control of herself and her environment. She can’t stand to not have the upper hand in any given situation, and will become vindictive and withdrawn until she can spin her web once more to her advantage. She wants to be at the centre of the web, pulling the strings and making sure everything is going her way. She does not allow any emotion to show but the ones she chooses; even as a child she has a firm control over her own reactions. Anise knows the outside world will not dance to her tune and that increases her fear of it. As soon as she steps outdoor, all her careful control is gone and all that is left is a frightened child.
Secretive
While Anise collects everyone else’s secrets, nobody is allowed to know her own. Even her guardian is not privy to half her thoughts and actions. She keeps everything about herself a mystery; unless it benefits her to tell somebody about it. Don’t pry in her business or you’ll pay for it.
Protective
Anise will veraciously protect anything she loves. Do not threaten anything that she has chosen to give her heart to or she will not stop in attempting to rip your goddamn head off. She wants them to be safe more than anything else in the world; even willing to go so far as to leave an environment she is in control of, to step into the wide world to save them. But they had better understand exactly what she’s doing for them and never betray her love.

Possible Plots

Someone to Pass the Time With
Anise spends a lot of her time alone. Her guardian works most days and so she wanders about her very small home with only the spiders for company (and they’re not ones for stimulating conversations). It would be nice for her to have a friend, somebody she can relax with and who will come and visit her. It would probably have to be somebody that she would find amusing and can just sit back and watch as they talk and run around or whatever.
Fly in a Web
Anyone interested in falling into Anise’s trap and become her loyal little minion? Somebody she’ll keep around just because she finds them useful or because she likes to feeling of telling them what to do.
Secrets
Anise wants your secrets; all of them. Give her some secret... and she’ll hoard them for the future, to be used at the most opportune time.
Lost Control
Suffering from Agoraphobia, Anise will not step out of her home into the wide world. However, I’m not going to give her a choice. I’d like to explore an rp where she is forced outdoors for whatever reason and begins to completely fall apart. The scared childlike part of her will actually get a chance to show. It would be interesting for there to be somebody who will be there to help her during that time, see her at her weakest and help pick her up again.

i'd like to offer anouk up for "someone to pass the time with"! anise and anouk seem to be quite similar in some aspects of their personality, and i think it could make for an interesting friendship. perhaps the kind where they are cautious of one another at the start and that caution lingers in their friendship.
i can see them doing proper tea parties and being such ladies. XD

I think that sounds really good. 8D I can imagine them sort of testing each other as they sip their tea, argueing occasionally but always ganging up together against anyone else.

Oh btw, we need to think up a suitable reason for Anouk to even meet Anise. xD I was thinking, Alexander might have spotted her while he was out working, recognised her as a Dust and asked if she wanted to come on a playdate with his daughter... since he’s worried she might be lonely.
Would that work?

that could work. i could have her skiv off helping ciellas and walk around the lake and maybe end up on a property he's tending to. :3
