"You got some one pregnant?!"
"Yes mom."
He sighed slightly looking at his mother before trotting forward once more. She had asked him this a few times already, he calmly answered the same thing each time. He would never raise his voice to his mother. He wasn't a 'mama's' boy but he had respect for his mother. On top of that he knew his mother was alone now, he wanted to make sure that she still had some one in her life, he wasn't going to leave his mother he was too protective of her. The way it was looking she was too protective of him too.
"We're almost there." He was heading toward their den, he one he had with Arziki. He didn't understand why it seemed like he was in trouble. They were on very good terms, he helped take care of her cubs when they were younger. And now he taken into consideration that he made a mistake and he planned on taking care of these cubs and sticking around with Arziki as long as she wanted him around. He had to admit he was nervous about meeting the lioness's family however he was bringing around the family that he had. His mother wanted to meet the lioness too.
He had a pretty good idea that he was going to get glared at but he didn't care, the lioness that he had feelings for was going to have cubs and well he wanted to be there when she was going to have them. She was heavy with cubs and he knew that she was getting closer and closer to her due date. He was trying his hardest to hurry back to the den. He crawled over a hill looking at the den in front of him, it was in sight, he could smell the territory markers that he placed out and he could also pick up the smell of Arziki, he wanted to be there soon.
"Is it over there?" Alexx asked again as she looked over her son's shoulder. Checking out the den that he had picked for the pair. As far as she was concerned he had made a good choice but she wasn't that sure of what she was going to think of what he had done, it wasn't the worse thing that he could have done but she was more then sure that he was in a pile of trouble with this lioness's family. "I can't believe you got a girl pregnant."
She growled slightly as she nipped at her son's tail feathers. She was a small lioness a little bigger then a teen, on top of that compared to her not only large but also solar bred male she looked like nothing however she wasn't something to mess with.
"I know mom, I know."
He repeated himself before he looked back at her nodding for her to follow him as he started to approach the den, he couldn't wait to see the female that was going to soon be the mother of his children. He couldn't believe he was already going to have children of his own then again he was of age. He slowed down nodding toward his mother again then looking into the den. "Ziki?" He called out as he peeked into the den, he could smell the others in the den. There was a lot more then he thought there was.
He could feel his stomach twist and turn, but he wasn't about to let all of these lions make him feel like he wasn't at home, he was going to act the best he could and he was also going to make it clear that wasn't here to hurt their daughter he was here to take care of her and that was all to it.

Byrony sat beside her granddaughter, whose belly was swollen with cubs, golden orbs flashed brightly in the dim light of the den as the demoness sat next to her proudly, she was the easiest of the bunch to get along with mostly, she gazed at her granddaughter happily, "Oh, your mother will be fine..I think." She mused with a light laugh before the sound, and heavy scent of others caught her attention, a brow arched as she turned her gaze towards those heading their way. She kept herself hidden in the shadows, a scowl clear on her features as her tail drummed lightly against the flooring of the den, she wasnt as pleased as her mother seemed to be. But she sat silent, she wanted to see this..male who had dared touch HER daughter without so much as making himself known to the rest of the family, oh this lioness was not pleased one bit. But she would wait to show herself, the sound of others caught her attention, her senses tingled at the smell of others, her zombie blood hungered. Sitting at the other side of her sister, Senka's features were almost stone like and expressed no emotion of the situation at paw, but the light flicker of her tail let on that she was of this world, though she seemed to slip into her shadow from time to time, her 2nd fathers blood heavy in her veins as she looked to her sister, silently before nuzzling her shoulder tenderly. Unlike the calm air of his mother and nieces, Mastema paced, protective of his older sister, and his nieces he couldnt wait to see this male who'd seemingly deemed himself worth of his neices affections, he snorted, out of his mothers children he seemed to have the shortest temper of all of Byrony's children.

Arziki couldn't say she was loving the tension in the air.
She had to admit that her side of the family could be a bit... frightening, and though she loved them, she feared for her poor Gage, flesh and soul and all the weak bits her family would love to chew on.
She shifted in the annoyance of her position, leaning a little more heavily on her grandmother, and glared at her father, who was radiating a kind of discontent anger that was unusual for him; at least, the anger part was. She had to say she felt a slight, foreign pang of guilt that she hadn't warned him before telling him she was pregnant and that he was going to come to be there when the cubs were born.
She knew her father well enough to know that this did not all bode exactly well. It wasn't a great sign that the shadows in the den flickered angrily in response to his sour mood, either. Things were just a little too uncomfortable for her, and she eagerly awaited Gage's arrival, just so the tension would shift.
Sombre couldn't remember if he'd even moved since planting himself in the den. He'd glanced around once, when he entered, and had sourly realized that they'd picked a den well enough in size for just this kind of thing; this litter of cubs everyone kept talking about. After that, he'd kind of blocked everything out.
He felt the shadows trying to soothe his mind and cool his temper, but Arziki was his baby. When he and Astarte and parted, Arziki was his baby that he had raised and he had cared for. The little girl that made him soft. And the male he could sense approaching made his blood boil. He'd kill him, if he thought he could get away with it without hurting Arziki.
He turned his head away as his eyes met with his annoyed daughter's and he sighed silently. He could feel Astarte in the shadows, and they told him her anger. It made him feel slightly better, knowing he wasn't alone in his hatred, and he couldn't help giving her an encouraging caress of shadowy tendrils.
Astarte's brother concerned him slightly, but so long as they were all united against the same male, for his daughter, and not causing her harm, he could manage this. Barely.
Arziki's ears perked when she heard an achoing voice and she smiled, relief sweeping through here. "They're all here, Gage. Beware."

Gage looked into the den trying to pick his mate out of the groups of lions, there was so many of them in there, all of different sizes. Some of them looking more friendly than the others. He looked at the what he could tell as different generations. He really wanted to know why he didn't have a warning before he wandered into the den. He shook out his mane before bowing showing his respect to the elders in the den. "Hello everyone."
He glanced around before moving to the female giving her a small nuzzle before looking back at his mother who was following not that far behind him. "Hello darling." He said gently before nodding to the lioness at him with a smile on his face. "My mother wanted to meet you so she came along with me."
The lioness smiled gently before nodding at her. She leaned into her son's side a little bit she couldn't help but to feel out of place. She hated being in crowds. She was really iffy when it came down to her being around others in general, she really only like her family and that was about it. She looked at the the female that was heavy with cubs and smiled slightly. "I've heard a lot of good stories about you."
He glanced at the other lions before nodding back toward the others. "My name is Gage, this is my mother Alexx." He wasn't goign to go with out introducing himself. Something told him that he was in trouble some how, however he had no clue whwat was going to happen.

Byrony was the first to speak, she wished her own mate was here, but Tolli's ties in the dark magic kept her away and busy, "Welcome to the family Gage, Alexx.." She bowed her head in greeting, she felt old suddenly, so many young generations made the demoness feel her years, she was even older than his mother! Oiy..where was her dear love to make her feel young again.
The feel of Sombre's shadows almost made her purr darkly, but she kept herself quiet, her spiders danced at the edge of his shadows, almost silently chattering amongest themselves as she watched the large male appear, his mother in toe, her head only shifted to the side, at the sound of her mothers voice, her eyes darted over to her for a moment, welcoming him to the family, she thought with an almost low growl, over her dead body.
Senka looked to the male, she blinked several times before she looked to her father, her own shadows seemed to dance over her body before slipping away to the ground around her paws, she then looked to the male once more, and then to his mother, her features remained blank, but something dark danced in her bright eyes.
He snorted, "He welcomed himself to our family." He growled low in his throat, a deep rumbling sound as the muscle in his jaws twitched at the sight of the male nuzzling his niece, he didnt like it, he didnt like it one bit. But, with his mother so close, his temper was calm and in check, only those that were close to him, could keep him calm.
