Rolling for Intelligence/Fine Arts factor. . .
19. . .

These people are extremely creative, they just lack the science to explain things. Getting home would be really hard in this case, especially if they haven't figured out the food thing.

Mmm, interesting. So, I could inadvertently use any and all skills I have in drawing and painting to live well in the world. I'd probably end up having a few assassination attempts against me if the evil level is at eleven, so I'd just go with selling things to get rich.

And you know, normal Earth, OUR earth is basically an eleven on the evil scale, so...It's probably about the same.

no good food?! ill die! ill just curl up and die gonk screw surviving, if i cant have good food then life isnt worht living XD

also what kind of religion do they have? religion would have a huge impact on how they react to use and our different ways. since they dont have the science to explain things then is it safe to assume they value religion? most of the older religions in human history worshiped many gods, would it be the same with these guys?

Presumably then we could use what we know about science and food cleanliness to get ourselves by and maybe make a living. Any idea if science works the same way in this world?

I'm really liking this D20 Factor. . .

Rolling for Religious Conservatism. . .

This makes it a little weird. It's becoming more like our world with every roll. We have our extremist groups here and there, but mostly people stick to their own and you only have to worry about getting in the path of the extremists.

Rolling for Science Similarity. . .

Nothing alike. At all. While in Our world we spend time trying to fix things or improve life, they spend their time trying to figure out stupid stuff, like why toilets swirl down a certain direction. They'll stick a needle in your arm just to find out why blood spurts when you remove the needle. All likeliness of reaching home have just been snuffed out unless you find one of their crazy scientists who don't think like them. There's also a good bet that the microwave you're about to use is also designed to explode at the touch of the start button. HOW these people survived is really starting to make you curious.

But the ruuules. Like, If I found something we know as a disinfectant, and I used that, would it still kill germs?
PostPosted: Mon Feb 08, 2010 7:09 am

We're going to go with, "YES, if it works here, it works there."

The problem is the scientists may have given it a different use/label, i.e., hand sanitizer used as weed killer. Chances are, however, if you know what it is, you can put it to better use.

Does-it-work-here-too rule?

I'm going to go with a whopping YES. No need to make this really complicated. Even scientists are bound to make something that you yourself can use in some way--if they use it to kill bacteria on McDonald's stoves and it smells like Raid, go ahead and use it to fend off the bugs down the street. Uck, that sounds horrible.

Yesh, this is definitely more interesting with D20 capabilities.
