My vote goes to CP Grogan. According to the Red Dwarf books, Kochanski's face lit up like a pinball machine when she smiled. That sounds more like Grogan than Annett. Although I don't know if she would have been as funny against Lister & Kryten.

Yeah, I preferred the original Kochanski; Clare Grogan. She was much more common and down-to-earth, definately more like someone Lister would've went for. AND SHE WAS SCOTTISH! xd

And the whole thing with Kryten near the end... I just didn't find it that funny to be honest. Sadly I thinkt he series definately went downhill a little in the last series, though it was great to have Rimmer back. 3nodding

Clare Grogan all the way. But she may not have been so funny as a main character, but who cares she's hot.

I go with the original all the way. She was supposed to be so nice, and so sweet, and make Lister trip over his own feet when he was around her. That's why it was funny, watching Lister bumble around and be all doofy. This new one is like an ice queen. Lister shouldn't be in love with her, he should be running in the opposite direction of her. I think bringing her back was a big mistake, as well as bringing back the rest of the crew.

Oooh, nice bit of logic there... 3nodding I've noticed that, but let's face it - RD is infamous for its continuity errors! There's a whole list of them around somewhere on the Internet... I'll have a look for them.

I've been thinking though about the entire Grogan/Annette debate... people say that Annette's Kochanski was, to quote OliviaOblivia, an ice queen and that Grogan's was much more sweet... I think they may have done it on purpose. Think about it - she was from another dimension, wasn't she? Remember, the one where Lister had died, which was why she was there in the first place, because she'd been put into statis for not destroying Frankenstein, the cat. So, wouldn't it follow then that she may well have a completely different personality?
