eulailyan mikoto Also, they're advertsing MODERN undergarments. As much as any money here can say we love corsets, we all prefer to wear a normal brassiere for comfort. I dont' see how pairing modern undergarments with the aesthetics of the fictional Victorian age isn't steampunk. I actually prefer corsets. It sounds weird, but they feel better.

Just don't lace them up until your waist is less than 20 inches. That just LOOKS painful! mad

Corsets can be very comfortable since you have to keep your back straight and in a proper position. The more you wear them the more you get used to them. It also depends on the female's (or male's) bone structure. I have very large and sturdy bones, that can handle the squeeze quite well. My girlfriend has a frailer structure, so corsets hurt her much more.

Now, that second picture... while it looks ridiculous, I still like the idea of a bustle skirt coming off the corset. I think it would make for a very interesting dress. Really, though, Hot Topic and Victoria's Secret- is Walmart next?

我就是你们女生最讨厌的那种人I'm the kind of guy you girls hate most.
Honestly, it seems their designers and artists understand Steampunk far more than Hot Topic. While theirs may not be inline with what many of us would consider pure Steampunk, the question arises with a particular answer....
Steampunk is simply an anachronistic style of victorian and modern clothing with victorian typically being the lead and star.
While Hot Topic's attempt was complete fail, at least Victoria's Secret is decently close.
Besides, their name actually has a direct connection to what we're all about, right? Lawls.
Also, with corsets, if you have the time, effort, and means, you can make a corset with plastic boning, which will do as well as other materials, plus, it will be easier and less risky to wash.
I hope you have fun erasing my post style, though. John Stalvern waited. The lights above him blinked and sparked out of the air. There were demons in the base. He didn't see them, but had expected them now for years. His warnings to Cernel Joson were not listenend to and now it was too late. Far too late for now, anyway. John was a space marine for fourteen years. When he was young he watched the spaceships and he said to dad "I want to be on the ships daddy." Dad said "No! You will BE KILL BY DEMONS" There was a time when he believed him. Then as he got oldered he stopped. But now in the space station base of the UAC he knew there were demons. "This is Joson" the radio crackered. "You must fight the demons!" So John gotted his palsma rifle and blew up the wall. "HE GOING TO KILL US" said the demons "I will shoot at him" said the cyberdemon and he fired the rocket missiles. John plasmaed at him and tried to blew him up. But then the ceiling fell and they were trapped and not able to kill. "No! I must kill the demons" he shouted The radio said "No, John. You are the demons" And then John was a zombie. 对了就是那个臭男孩 That's right, that jerk.

Do corsets feel anything like a body cincher? Because I tried one on and it felt (and looked) great.

Corsets at the time were not known for being comfortable. Women usually were cinching their waists to be as small as physicall possible.
