I know, i know, it's still stupidly early, but i MUST ask... what was the most memorable christmas gift you ever got?
For me, it was my first telescope. A good Meade. Really powerful, you could see the rings of saturn with it! My parents understood my love of astronomy and my aunt shipped this big thing up to me. I used it for YEARS until it was broken. I'm still wanting to get it repaired... That telescope was used during the famous planet parade, during meteor showers, to get better views of the moon, etc. It was just great. So discuss! what is your most treasured christmas present and why?

my most prized gift was a Super Nintendo when I was younger...it was right at that time I got into video games, and the fact it was MY 1st system...we had a NES but it was my bro's,but the SNES was MINE!! *clears throat* it's a shame it's gathering dust cause of the newer systems and the ability to download the older games...but I play it like 5 times a year...which reminds me....*goes to play Super Mario Bros Wii*

My most memorable Christmas gift was my lava lamp. I think it was the only time I asked a mall Santa for something. On Christmas morning I didn't realise I'd got it until my mom explained that lava lamps are bottles of liquid. I'd thought it was a fancy soda. rofl

xD well, there's one that makes me laugh everytime i remember it. i got a game of pick-up-sticks in my stocking from Santa. i was looking at the instructions and at the bottom it said "Pier 1 Imports"...now, in previous years, i'd been gullible enough to believe my mom when she said that Santa just likes to get stuff from different stores, but it seems that year it was about time i clued it. so i questioned my mom about it, and sure enough i realize Santa isn't real. my poor brother though. he was sitting right beside my mom sweatdrop so we both found out the same year. my mom still likes to fill stockings with random knick-knacks every year though.
my most memorable gift though? hm...i'm sure there's one that's more heartfelt, but i can't recall XD but a couple years ago, my dad apparently found a bunch of DVDs for some old movies on sale somewhere and bought a bunch of them. two of them were saved for my brother and i (though we didn't know). my brother opens his, and it's This is Spinal Tap, and we're all like "cool!" because it looks like something about a rock band. so i open mine, and it's The Princess Bride. not knowing any better, i thought it was like a chick flick romantic (and essentially girly) movie, and so i asked my dad "how come i get the sucky movie?" xd he got a real kick out of that one. we watched it later and i found out it really wasn't that sucky.
