Is it just a blogsite? . w. It's like blogging yes.
But you can share information with other people, especially if you join communities that have a specific interest.
Like, I'm very big into Visual Kei music.
One band in particular, An Cafe, I stay up on 24/7.
The an_cafe community on LJ has blog translations, downloads, pictures, information on releases, tours, concerts, etc.
It's really helpful in acquiring things I would otherwise not know about.

I have never heard of LiveJournal before. I don't really like sites like that... like Myspace and facebook.... sites like that. I can't get behind them... I know one too many people I do not like on their and I know it would only end in tragedy If I joined. Im short tempered.... and when it comes to people rubbing the fact that they are rich and popular and think they are better then the rest of world get on my nerves quickly. I don't think their is any wrong with having extreme confidence in yourself but... when those people look down on other people like the Crippled or those that mentally Disabled... are nothing but jerks...and need a good kick in the pants.
So livejournal is a blogging site where you can join diffrent communites of interest and learn things about it that wouldnt be able to find out normally unless you looked.

If it was I wouldn't get on it.
There are communities for gamers, music lovers, animal lover, anime lovers, anything under the sun. So you'd be around people who share the same interests. I'd check it out before judging so harshly based on certain sites with a bad rep...I didn't think I'd like it, but being a fan of VK, it's nice finding people who share the same musical interests and find out important information in relation to bands and the sort.
Like, I never would have found out An Cafe was offering tickets to their final performance for overseas fans in the States had I not been on LJ.

Just sites with Jackbutts on them. Even on here I have problems. Thats why I don't have any friends on here except for people I know know. Like my friend I went to school with, and whatnot. I just dont have a big opinion about websites. Besides all that, I've tried to get on livejournal recently and well this PC SUCKS. I cant do anything. I can only post on gaia because if I try anything else I get kicked off the site...and have to retry again...and the end result never changes. Sigh....
