When I woke up, I turned on the T.V to see what's on. To my surprise, a trade & signing has took place just momentarily.

Braylon Edwards of the Browns was traded to New York Jets for wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, third-year linebacker Jason Trusnik and two undisclosed draft picks.

Crabtree signs with the 49ers for a 6-year deal. He can void one of his years as an option so if he wants to go out on free agency faster or whatever.....

thoughts, Comments, Rants?

I say the Browns did a hell of a trade there.....

& I think the 49ers can do great without crabtree....But who knows, he might be Hill's go-to guy

I think both have made good trades.

The Browns need to do something to jump-start their team. It's no secret that Braylon Edwards didn't want to play for the Browns anymore, and it's never good to have your #1 receiver be disgruntled. While Chansi Stuckey isn't as much of a receiver, he can still be a possitive, impactful player. Jason Trusnik might be the spark this team needs to help get their D going, and with the thought that this is already a lost season, they are already planning ahead and hoping to get more potentially good draft picks. Not the best of moves overall, but a smart one never the less.

The 49ers made the better deal in my oppinion. Even though they are 3-1 (2 seconds and a Favre pass away from being 4-0) They are mostly there because of their Defense. Their offense is ranked 28th in the league overall, 28th in passing. Their receiving corp just isn't playing to where the team was hoping, especially when their Linebackers have scored more touchdowns than their receivers. (2-1) Now Crabtree won't be an imediate impact, and who knows how long it will take for him to get to know the offense and actually play. But when he finally does, I don't think it would hurt their offense any, and he just might be what this team needs to secure a weak NFC West division.

I was a little surprised when I saw the Edwards news. At around time of the NFL Draft earlier this year, I actually wanted to trade for Edwards. I proposed something like Sinorce Moss and a second round draft pick. Seems like the Jets got him for cheap. He can be a big time player. But he does come with baggage, like his recent off-field incident.

Crabtree was smart to finally sign. If he held out the entire season, he would have re-entered the draft. No way would h be a first round pick the next draft, after missing an entire year of football, plus his attitude problems. Plus, he'd make even less money under the proposed rookie pay scale. But one key element is how his teammates will accept him. Seems like Crabtree didn't want to help out the 49ers, and if I were one of his teammates, I'd be pissed at him.

...But it's the same old story for both Edwards and Crabtree...diva wide receivers. rolleyes

The Edwards trade seems like he was hated in that town. Plus I'm pretty sure that Lebron James wants to beat him up.

Crabtree finally signed that's good news.
