If you are Philadelphia Eagle fan, you will probably know the genius defensive coordinator Jim Johnson. Jim Johnson died today battling a cancerous tumor in his spine. He was 68 years old.
Jim Johnson was responsible for the Eagles feared defense for nearly 10 years, being renowned in his numerous blitz packages that allowed the Eagles to finish the season among the top in the league in defense. His ability to mold the players and produce plays that attacked quarterbacks from every angle was legendary. One thing he was known for was to blitz heavy 2nd down, so that the opposing QB's third down would start far.
