 The nightmares were getting worse. Visions of her jaws wrapped around poor, lifeless Panic's throat, blood seeping from her wound, seeping onto the earth, feeding the grass... It made Bipolar's eyes burn with unshed tears.
The purple she-wolf's belly was slowly getting rounder. This litter...it would be bigger than her first... She was worried. She was a small wolf; what if she couldn't handle five or six puppies? What if she couldn't feed them all? What if they died...
She slowly rose to her feet and padded out of the den, into the cool night air, a strange temperature for August... It was cool against her dark fur. She padded over the dirt, looking for something, or someone, anyone to make the dreams leave her alone...

Elayi was scavenging around the forest, looking for something, anything to eat. Her tail lowered, her body crouched. She'd stumbled upon a few rabbits sitting outside their den. If only she could be quiet, very quiet...
Bang! She had pounced on top of the fattest rabbit, immediately digging her claws and teeth into the scrambling thing. Yum.
She started eating, delicious rabbit, when suddenly she felt a prescense (sp?)...someone was going to take her food? No! She pushed the jiucy dead rabbit under her and growled in the direction of the prescence. She hadnt eaten in nearly a week. This was HER food.

Bipolar's blue eyes darted back and forth, landing on the wolfess to the left of her, a dark-pelted beast hunkering over a rabbit. As the other female snarled, Bipolar's lips rose to show pearly fangs. "I don't want your hunt, girl," she hissed out, ears flat, tail tucked under her. She was nothing but a lowly omega; she would challenge no one for food.

Elayi's guard slowly dropped. An Omega, by her stance.
The feeling of hatred and protectiveness was silenced by a feeling of pity. This one had probably eaten less than Elayi.
The brown wolf studied the purple one. By the size of her swollen belly, she was carrying pups...but her ribs showed that she hadnt eaten well. Maybe...
Elayi sat down, and slashed at the rabbit with her claws again, cutting it messily in half. She picked up one half, and flung it toward the purple shewolf.
"I am sorry," She muttered, laying down and laying her ears against her skull. Elayi felt guilty. Thsi girl needed the food more than she did.

The omega watched as the other wolf slowly relaxed. She huffed; obviously, she didn't percieve Bipolar as a threat. Probably for the best, although the purple wolf couldn't help but be a tiny bit offended by this.
Bipolar was indeed skinny; she'd grown skinner through the month that her belly'd grown. It was as if the babies were zapping every bit of nutrients she consumed.
Ears flicked back as the rabbit was tossed towards her. She jumped, slightly nervous still, then looked between the wolf and the kill. Her tail gave an appreciative wag and she fell on the food like a starving puppy might.
When she'd finished, she regarded the other more calmly. The babies even settled. "I am Bipolar," she announced, waiting for a name from the other. A formal introduction.

"I am Bipolar," The purple wolf said.
Elayi looked up, ears perked.
"I am Elayi," She replied, watching as Bipolar ate like a young pup. She couldnt help but feel a bit amused. At least she'd done something good...for once...
"Er...how long until your pups are born?" She asked, sniffing the air around Bipolar curiously.

Bipo's head lifted, tilting slightly to the side. Elayi. Odd but interestingly tribal, in her opinion. She offered the other female a smile - which she hoped looked genuine. Of course, the only genuine smiles were ever offered to her mate and the father of her puppies, Paranoia.
"About a month," she replied wistfully. She was still worried. Who knew how much she would grow in a month. Who knew how many children they'd have this time... Would she hurt them, like she hurt poor Panic? She shook her head. "We will be fine," she said, as if the brown wolf had asked. "I have a pack and a mate who looks after me. They will be born strong and healthy."
Her eyes zeroed in on Elayi. "And where are you from?"

"That is good," Elayi smiled, looking back at Bipolar.
"I do not have a pack," Elayi looked down, switching her wait from paw to paw, "But I am trying to get into the Acropolis Pack right now, but the Alpha hasnt talked to me yet...where do you belong?"
She finished eating the rabbit, gnawing on the bones now. Yum.

Bipolar mused to herself. Acropolis. She'd never heard of it before. Surely it was a stable pack, much unlike her own. "Agua Azul," she replied, though hesitant. "The one alpha there is...however...how do you say, a little crazy?" She shook herself. Sometimes, Agua was unsafe. When Twist made the pack crazy, she was determined to high-tail it outta there with her small family. She just hoped that wouldn't happen anytime soon; a move with newborns wouldn't be good at all...

"Ah," Elayi replied. She'd heard of stories from the pack before...they were...interesting. She swished her tail slightly, then stood.
"I'm supposed to meet with the Alpha for Acropolis tonight, possibly tomorrow..." Elayi pondered, cracing the rabbit bone between her jaws. It felt good. She was restless, wanting to fight or play or so something other than wander all day.
"Who is your mate? Is her in Agua Azul too?" Elayi had so many questions for her new friend...but maybe she was intruding...she backtracked, stopping her wave of curiosity in it's tracks.
Shut up, she told herself. You pry too much.

Bipolar's white-tipped tail gave a small wag. Surely Elayi had heard of Agua Azul, and it was obvious she had by the wag of her tail and the look on her face. Yep, a buncha crazies...
"My mate's name is Paranoia," she said softly, not really bothered by the fact that the other femme was a little prying. She'd never had a female friend before, so who was she to say what friendship was like? All she had was Para and her babies... Their babies. "We have...three grown-up puppies together. Lithium and Schitzophrenia- Phren- are our daughters, and our son's name is LSD." She smiled, a strange smile, a motherly smile. "And then...we have little ones on the way." She nudged her belly and tail wagged again.
She lowered her head. "I hope you can join Acropolis. It's...safe when you have a place to call home."

Elayi bowed her head in a nod. She was feeling quite...insecure. Having to sleep in a make-shift den by herself every night was not necessarily comforting.
A pang of jealousy bothered Elayi. This femme had a family of her own...she had none. Just her By herself. No pups, no mate...
"Yes, it will be amazing if I am able to join..." She didnt have much to say now, annoyed at herself. She shouldnt feel anything against this femme, i was better that way...maybe she would find someone, she was young...

Bipolar remembered the long, grueling months of being on her own. Of finding a place to hide from the world just to sleep. To keep her scrawny body away from the wolves who might want her dead. To hide from the nightmares of Panic, so vivid and true. She couldn't believe her luck when Paranoia turned out to be her soulmate... Just like she couldn't believe her luck, now. Pregnant again, and happy, if not a little scared.
Her tail wagged. "You will be able. I feel it," she admitted. "And if you can't join Acropolis...I'm sure you could join a pack called Gomorrah. Or Akiiki Chibale." She fell silent. Akiiki was Agua Azul's arch rival. Everything that Twist stood for, Alas stood against, and therefore, enemies they were. But Akiiki Chibale...it was so tempting to go there, to be welcomed into the friendly alphas' pack. It was a place she'd like to go, someday...if Twist didn't kill them all first.

"Gommorah..." Elayi gave a slight wag of her tail. It sounded interesting too. Shed never heard of Akiiki Chibale...
But she'd stick with Acropolis...a certain male there...made her heart beat oddly.
"Do you know of Ciirsyn Kiion? From the Acropolis? He is a shaman there..." She shuffled her feet oddly, and her temperature rose. Were wolves supposed to take an interest in shamans? Was it forbidden? It couldnt be!
But maybe...

Gomorrah was a pack of Sin, though Bipolar had briefly met the young alpha that reigned there and decided Gomorrah was a fair-enough place to start a family. She herself had never heard of Acropolis, and therefore, never heard of the shaman that Elayi spoke of.
"Sorry, no," she murmured. "Never heard of him. Well, I should be going. Para will wonder about me..." She offered the brown wolf a smile, then turned around and began to pad off, back towards home.
