The last place you'd expect a child to be was on the ceiling. But on the ceiling he was, along with his crazy father, curled into his arms. If Cat dropped the boy, he'd land on his head and crack his skull open. But he hadn't, and wouldn't, so that wasn't going to happen. From here, Nonamé could see the entirety of the toy store they were in, and he giggled in glee as his hair fell down past his eyes, hanging upside down. His father, Cat, spoke to him in verse - as he usually did. And thus.. Nonamé had learned to speak in verse.

"See the camels and the bear, that little girl refused to share? That boy, right there, around your age, has bought a seagull in a cage. And look! You see that fluffy pig? And who knew dogs were made that big?"

The child took in everything, grinning like a madman - as was his father. The child called himself 'Nani' - as did Cat. It was a personal concession, and a cute one at that. He was so busy with what Cat was singsonging on the ceiling, he really wasn't looking for anyone else like him to show up...

Kiyoshi was eager to head to the toy store, even going so far as to run ahead of his Dad who was walking far to slowly for his liking. The boy's long hair which was currently tied back fluttered along behind him like a white flag as he headed into the store. He wanted to get himself some more sporting equipment, stuff that he would be able to play with in the yard when he went out with his sister... she didn't play, just sat in the shade to draw but he could find something to have fun on his own with.

What did he want? A ball perhaps, or a racket and a birdy, maybe a soccer ball and a goal? So many things to pick from... while his favorite sport was archery he had already been told it was something he could only do while he was at the range. So many things to choose from... maybe if he were lucky he could talk his Dad into more then one thing? After all Fenrir got tons of art supplies all the time so it would only be fair that he got lots of sports stuff!

Behind him, bringing up the back was a quiet red head with deeply colored skin, red hair, and many tattoos. He watched as Kiyoshi went rushing off into the store and made no move to catch up, they had been here enough that he was sure the boy would be fine on his own while running up and down the aisles.

"Nrgh?"

A sigh passed the child's lips, the boy shaking his head. "Mari," he chided, head tilting to look up at his guardian. "Were you even listening to anything I said?" The answer that she had been wasn't particularly encouraging. "Then what was I talking about?" Lyell challenged, stopping and folding his arms across his chest.

A smile crept across his guardian's lips, the female draping an arm over his shoulders and encouraging him to continue walking before guiding him down a sporting aisle. "Something something, do you think they have basketballs that glow in the dark?, something."

Lyell gave a little huff, but conceded defeat as he left his guardian's side to begin his search for the desired item of interest. Okay, so maybe she had been sort of listening, even if all those 'something something's weren't encouraging either.

Nani spotted a few more boys that were a bit more interesting than the 'normal' ones milling here and there. Cat noticed the direction of his son's attention, and scooted over to an empty shelf, where he dropped down, and peeked over at the children in the sports aisle. It must have been quite a shock to the guardans, at least, to see a teenager in a purple/pink striped top hat, pink-and-purple striped shirt, and purple jeans. Not to mention the fact that his strawberry blonde hair was tinged with pink, and he had... exceedingly yellow eyes. ... And his grin somehow managed to be bigger than physically possible. Not only that, but the boy - carrying a child in his arms - stepped out into the air... and didn't fall. Nope, he just rotated himself until he was upside down, and set the child on the floor, standing there and grinning at the guardians. It also probably didn't help the creepiness factor that the boy literally spoke in rhyme.

"I couldn't help but notice, as you walked into the aisle, my little Nani's interest, in both your childrens' style. For sports, it seems, your children, all have a certain bend... I'm sure my little Nani here, would like to be their friend."

Nonamé, Nani, meanwhile, was tagging along behind the white-dressed one, peering at what he was looking at. He had a much more quiet method of introduction than his father - but still in verse.

"Oh what are you that shines so white, against the tiles of gray? Are you like me, here to observe, or simply here to play? If here to play, can I please ask, just what would be the game? But wait! For now, I'll only ask... Whatever is your name?"

Kiyoshi starred up at the two rather strange people that had descended up him and he found himself unable to blink, just... starred. They were brightly colored in a manner that kind of reminded him of Fenrir and her strange dressing habits... though their mode of talk was far different then any he'd ever heard, maybe even a little hypnotic.

When he finally blinked his silver eyes it would seem as though the trance were broken, "Wow..." He breathed taking a half step toward the two colorful people, "You two are... just wow." He sounded fascinated.

Hari on the other hand was starring at the pair with a blank stare on his face, he was half tempted to just catch hold of his son's hand and drag him away from the weirdos... but it seemed he was to late as already Kiyoshi were talking with the pair. The tattooed male crossed his arms over his chest and gave no response, just watched to make sure that they didn't try anything odd.

Lyell's first response was to take that step back toward his guardian, taking a hold of her sleeve and blinking up at her curiously. Mari knew all sorts of weird people... At least, they were weird in his opinion. But what could Lyell say, being born from a stick of pocky? Either way, weird or not, Lyell's first idea was to see if Mari knew the pair of them... He wondered if it had something to do with being around Mari. Unusual people did seem to flock to her. Maybe this sort of stuff was commonplace when he wasn't around?

The taller male had spoken then, and Lyell's attention was drawn. The words made it sound as though the stranger didn't know Mari, as well as that the person of interest was himself and...

"Kiyoshi!"

Lyell chose to abandon his guardian at that moment, if only to take up a hiding spot behind the older pocky child. Standing behind him, his hands rested on Kiyoshi's shoulders as he stood on tiptoe to peer over them.

It seemed that the other two children were scared of Nani. Cat canted his head to one side. ... ALL the way to one side. His neck looked broken. Then he did it the other way, trying to figure out these people. After a moment, the moved his head back to the right position, and flipped back over, jumping from midair, and doing a flip to land behind the female guardian, tapping her shoulder.

"Over here, dear." he murmured. Yes, he rhymed all the time, but it wasn't ALWAYS in verse. Just when he was being particularly insane / formal.

Nani, meanwhile, crept closer to the two children. One of them was cowering. He reached up, and wiped his eye, sniffling.

"Why oh why must others say, Nani cannot come and play? Why does Nani scare them so? Please tell him, he wants to know..."

Kiyoshi looked over his shoulder as a familiar face appeared and he couldn't help but give a happy sound upon seeing Lyell again. He had been wanting to meet up with him again so this was a rather pleasant surprise, "Hello, Lyell." He chirped before his attention turned back to the brightly colored boy in front of him.

"Huh? Scared? Naw." He said with a smile, sure the two were a little odd but they were quite flashy and fascinating to behold as well. He patted a hand against his chest, "My name is Kiyoshi!"

Scared? Oh no, of course he wasn't scared! Maybe, at the very least, he would admit that he was startled by the sudden appearance, but never scared. Psh, what kind of guy got scared? He was just... cautious! Yes, that was the word for it! Yet it wasn't these claims to himself that drew Lyell out from behind Kiyoshi, it was his own curiosity. Mind, he still kept close to the other boy all the same, even if he no longer ducked behind him.

"I'm not scared," he assured as well, tilting his head curiously as he watched the other child. "I was just... startled, is all." At least it sounded a little more friendly than cautious. And really, the other child didn't seem dangerous...

Mari gave a blink, head turning to look behind her at the tapping upon her shoulder. "Mm?" she murmured, not entirely "around". If anything, she was still, to some degree, caught in the daydream or whatever it was that Lyell knew she'd been in, even if she did pay some sort of attention. "Yes~?"

Nani beamed when the other boy said he wasn't scared. Oh happy day! He gathered himself, wiped his eyes free of the tears that had been peeking out, and gave an elaborate bow.

"The pleasure is mine, it seems, to greet. I'm glad we had a chance to meet! Your names are really quite the feat, and being here is quite a treat!"

He eyed the two, and stood, blinking as some bits and pieces of misplaced memory came into his head. He took in Kiyoshi for a moment, then Lyell, and the whole storybook world that his father had been pressing into him took charge. The White King, and the Glorious Nymph of Summer! These two looked so much like Cat's description of them, that he figured it MUST be them! Granted, the Lady of Summer seemed to have taken a less... voluptuous form... But nevertheless. As a denizen, he must pay homage. He dropped to one knee, bowing his head for a moment, then looking up at the two from his lower position.

"Oh wondrous beings, Oh sovereigns, forgive your poor servant, I pray. He meant no harm, in greeting so - He only wished to play. Now that he sees the folly, he kneels to then repent. Believe him thus, when now he says, it was an accident!"

With that, he bowed his head again, waiting for admonishment.

Cat was not exactly paying attention to his child. He was more interested in the two that came with the OTHER children. He vanished once the woman turned around, and appeared in front of her again, grinning ear to ear - almost literally.

"Beware the Jabberwock, they say - its teeth that bite and catch. But ma'am, this one seeks not to kill, and nor does he to snatch. He only seeks a little time, some little conversations. So do not add 'He's Crazy' - Cat's not fond of appellations."

He jumped up onto an empty shelf, and looked down at the two.

"But if you wish to know my tale, oh lord and lady strange. Perhaps a consultation, this Cat would then arrange. It seems as though you might be fond, of tea and cakes this night. So if you wish, I will extend a glorious invite."

Kiyoshi watched as the pretty cat like boy in front of them went from looking a little sad to perking up and bowing before them. He tilted his head to the side as he listened once more to the way that Nani spoke and found it in all ways fascinating, to speak like that naturally it was just... awesome! He lifted his hands up to try to smother a giggle as the other spoke of he and Lyell as though they were something grand. He decided that it must be some sort of game for the cat boy.

"Your cute." Kiyoshi said, smiling brightly before he cautiously reached a hand out to touch one of Nani's ears. The curiosity about whether or not they were real had gotten the better of the milk pocky boy, he just had to now if they were real or not!

Hari starred up at the strange, excitable, and weirdly friendly man that was bouncing about the toy store before he turned to glance at Kiyoshi. He was at least having fun he thought to himself when he heard the boy giggling over the antics of the smaller of the two weirdos. This was the absolute last time he came to this place he thought to himself, next time he was sending Baldric...

Wait... what was the guy saying? Something about tea, cake, and invites to somewhere, "Ahhh... yeah, thanks. I can't though, to much to do tonight." He said, not about to follow the guy anywhere as he didn't trust that the guy wouldn't add anything to the tea. He had a feeling though that Baldric would have taken the invite... so maybe it was a good thing that he had come today to protect his Baldric's own overly friendly nature.

Lyell's fingers unconsciously curled to hold the loose cloth of Kiyoshi's sleeve. It wasn't his fault Mari's sleeve was on the opposite side of the aisle or that it was Kiyoshi who stood right beside him and that he had equally gripping-worthy sleeves. This did influence Lyell's movements, as to a degree he now had to follow with Kiyoshi.

When Nani spoke of apologies and repenting and forgiveness, Lyell blinked before shaking his head insistantly. "Oh, no no no," he assured. "You haven't done anything wrong, really! You don't have to apologize and stuff."

Mari gave a glance around her before her gaze flickered again to the male who spoke to her and the other child's parent. Her gaze flickered about again, an idle observation passing her lips. "A Jabberwock a bit far from home, aren't you?" She gave a shake of her head though.

Tea wasn't so bad sometimes. She wasn't so big on the cakes usually, but tea could be nice. "I think I might be free to accept the invite, personally. Just name a time and a place."
