My family isn't big on marinades. :\ I think it's because we usually never know what we're going to make enough time ahead.

Equal parts soy sauce and sherry (NOT cooking sherry, something that you could actually drink) with a little minced garlic (or garlic powder) and some ground ginger. I've used it on chicken, pork and beef with good results

Olive oil, balsamic vinegar, garlic, and rosemary. whee Yum.
My other favorite is tamari, sherry, garlic, and ginger, like icebrat's, though I usually only use the fresh spices, not ground.

I take small one and a cup dish and put in about a third water and two thirds vinegar (malt vinegar with regular vinegar is good!) and then add tons of my favorite spices. I normally prefer to add Cavander's Greek seasoning or Spade L Ranch seasoning. Because there is an extensive amount of vinegar, the meat falls apart and is super tasty when cooked!

My family has this family recipe that we use alot for Turkey and CHicken. It's this spicey marinade with warstichire sauce, tabasco, brown sugar, oil, water, and chili's. It's gooooooddddd eats!
I generally use a teriyaki merinade made of brown sugar, soysauce, ginger, galic salt, and oil. It tastes ohhhhh so good!

try soaking the chicken in pure 7-Up the whole night... that's why my mom's fried chicken tastes great! ^___^
as for pork (or chicken, too) - simply garlic, soy sauce and a LOT of calamansi (Philippine lemon) wink heart heart heart

1/2 Cup Worcheshire Sauce, 1 cup red wine (Try Morgan David's Loganberry - cheap, too). This is really good with stew meat, turns the meat melty soft. I usually let it go overnight.
For roasts, cook with 1 cup wine, 1 can beer and zero water. Again, very tender meat. Works wonders for venison.

Mm.. I take beef cubes and let them gently soak (or drown :XP) them in a big heap of zesty Italian dressing for two days. Oh it's been so long since I've made it. *sobsobsob*
