From the Japanese toyline called Web Diver, from Takara which was the same company that collaborates with Hasbro on Transformers (It has since merged with Tomy), I bring you:

Daitalion is what it is normally called, but a better translation would be Daedalion. Daedalion is a glorious dual-cell airship. Propellors, harpoons, shark jaw detailing on the prow, anchors on the sides. This thing is absolutely beautiful.

The hulking behemoth he turns into continues the intricate detailing, and the smaller robot becomes his head! How can you not love that? And if you look closely, his axe has a gear motif!

I am in love with this thing and have to get him.

But the Decepticons always have tended to have the cooler alt modes.

Just got him, he is fantastic. Pictures do him no justice, he's tinier than you'd expect. But the burgundy color of his main parts is really nice. And the upper surface of his top wing has a really nice paint wash that makes it look like partially darkened canvas, as if he'd been flying for a while. He's worth the eight bucks.

He's not bad at all. His arms are on pretty loose ball joints and pop off if you move them wrong, but they pop right back on again.


He now reminds me of The Terror from the Tick cartoon series. An evil that was the power back in the day, but now is ridiculous and sits around wheezing and rambling about the good old days. xd


Really, this is epic for the fact that it brings us just that little bit closer to seeing the Hearts of Steel designs made in official action figure form. Ironclad Shockwave? Howitzer Megatron? YES BLOODY PLEASE!
