I really think the Cheifs have something in Thigpin, but Cassle has impressed everyone. Aw well with the garbage some teams have at QB I'm sure the Cheifs could move Thigpin.
Also at a second round draft pick I would take the deal in a heart beat. Even if Cassle doesn't pan out there is a LB with experience to teach the rookies.

Thigpen actually had himself a nice season last year. He didn't have such a good team, but he turned many heads and played well. He's not a true frontrunner QB that the team is looking for, so the Chiefs explored other options. Kansas City has a nice option in Cassel, and he should work well with Pioli. And exactly right about Vrabel. I think that the Chiefs will draft Curry, so Vrabel will be able to teach him a lot, as well as leading the defense.

Isn't it ironic the Pats give up a QB, to the Chiefs, after the Chiefs took out Brady last year?

Valas Hume Isn't it ironic the Pats give up a QB, to the Chiefs, after the Chiefs took out Brady last year? Nope. That stuff happens a lot in this league. But anyways a couple teams are looking to pressure the League into looking into the trade to see if there was unfair practice in that trade due to giving a 2nd rounder when several other teams had offered a 1st and others. Some are even saying that it is like insider trading since the KC's GM and Belicheck are very tight knit friends.

Supposedly the Patriots took the second rounder because they'd pay less for the drafted player, while still getting a quality guy. But I don't think the Chiefs would offer their third overall pick for Cassel anyways. And knowing Belichick, I don't think he'd ever let himself get the lower end of any deal.

The Cheif did a good move getting Matt Cassel from the patriot for 2 round pick. Matt Cassel will help the Cheif to make the playoff. The Patriot got more room to bring a any player who want to play as the patriots.

That is what you would expect out of Belichek, but the thing is it was said that 1 other team offered a 1st rounder and a couple others offered a 1st and another pick for him. This is what they were talking about when they wanted to have the league look into the matter.

But there was supposedly a three-way trade with the Broncos getting involved, maybe using their first rounder.
