Heaven-scent
Purchase RP
It had been a day. A day full of accidents, both good and bad. And it was by sheer accident that Mliss had stumbled upon the incense shop. Originally, the mechanic had no intention of going inside. That was, until SOMETHING wafted outside and caught her nose.
She blinked and followed the heavenly scent inside. Maybe...she could get something to help her relax after work? Sure...she was a mechanic, but she was still a GIRL. And she did have a weakness for things that smelled nice. And there were SOOOOOO many things that smelled nice in the shop. But one vial in particular caught her nose as she passed it. No. Way. She just about squealed in delight and snatched it up. YES! They had it! They had her ultimate lay-back-and-relax incense! Banana! She grinned and found herself a burner/stand and went to the counter.
She thought the cashier was rather odd...Mliss would have thought him a girl save for a few telling signs, and he smelled of peppermint. Not all that bad...but ODD. She happily paid for her new treasure and headed back home, practically purring the entire way. Ooooo...she couldn't wait to crack it open that night!

Lighting Prompt (Required to reach Lit Scent stage) You have just purchased an oil burner and a specific scented oil from the Solace Scents shop and you can't wait to light it! Now that you're home, it's time to find the perfect place to light that scent! However, strange things seem to happen when you do... particularly with the smoke...

Odd...
Lighting RP
Home at last! Mliss set her bag down next to her bed, then promptly flopped on it. Oh sweet, blessed bed. Sleep was a tempting thought, but her belly rumbled. Oh well...food first. She sighed and removed herself from the sweet haven of the bed, fishing a couple of items out of her bag. No better time to enjoy her new incense than during the process of making and eating a sammich!
The tan girl trotted into the kitchen with her new treasure, setting it up carefully in a spot on the counter where it wouldn't get knocked over. Humming, she carefully lit it, then started making herself a tuna sandwich. Food made, she made her way over to the incense, to blow the candle out...and blinked.
Odd. The smoke was...was that a palm tree? Mliss looked over it oddly, then ran her finger through the smoke. Odd. Normal, ordinary smoke. But...huh. Mliss rubbed her eyes, then blew the candle out. She was probably just too tired, and seeing things. She'd finish her food quick and get herself some rest.

You return content, having completed your task only to find a small child wandering the halls of your home, leaving oily foot steps behind, leading to a cracked burner, and split candle wax. Weird a** stuff goin' down, brah...
Awakening RP
It was almost gone. Well...it would be, after this last lighting. Mliss sighed as she poured the last little bit of Banana into the oil cup. She'd need to stop by that shop again to get more. Hell, she wouldn't be using this last bit before getting more if it wasn't for one small thing...
She'd had a Bad Day. Her Da had been sick, which left HER in charge of the shop for the day. One of the other mechanics had a friend pop by to let them know said mechanic was sick, leaving it just Mliss and Tom. And they'd had four projects in, and gotten three new ones and several assholes who couldn't tell their rear end from a gasket and wouldn't admit it. She couldn't even bear to look at her experiments in her garage when she got home, trudging in and leaving her stuff in the entryway, stripping on her way to the bathroom. She popped into her room long enough to grab the stuff for her incense and took it into the bathroom with her.
And then she lit it up, and promptly started scrubbing herself, getting all the grime off. Then she rinsed, imagining all the stress of the day floating away down the drain with the grime...and then promptly got herself into her bath, relaxing. She practically purred, so very glad for the things her Mother had brought with her from her travels. Like the habit of washing, then soaking in the bath. Nothing quite rivaled it after a bad day, and the smell of bananas wafting through made it even better.
After her muscles had relaxed, she got out of the bath and wrapped a towel around herself, her stomach proclaiming rather loudy the fact she hadn't eaten in several hours. And the smell of banana in the bathroom was NOT helping any. She quickly put a stew together, and grabbed a slice of bread to munch on as she waited for it to cook and walked to the bathroom to put out the candle. When she got there...
Well, she wasn't sure WHAT she was seeing. It involved smoke, and an abundance of the banana smell (stronger than it had ever been), and yet it was oddly...relaxing. But there was finally a crack, and there was a child on the floor of her bathroom, with oil split on her, and a cracked oil burner and spilled wax behind her. What...the...hell?
The child stared at her a moment with pinkish-gray eyes...then grinned and waved. "Hey brah! Sorry 'bout the mess, couldn' help it!" Mliss tried to speak, stopped, cleared her throat, then tried again.
"Uhm...hi. What just happened?" The little girl shrugged.
"Whatev' jus' happened, brah. So...think I can hang here?" She smiled hopefully, and Mliss...just couldn't bring herself to say no. The tanned girl sighed and nodded.
"Yeah...We're making a trip tomorrow, though." She HAD to talk to the incense shop owner! "Help me clean this up? And then I can loan you a shirt to sleep in." The little girl cheered.
"Righteous!" She followed Mliss' directions in cleaning up, humming.
"So...what's your name, kid?" The girl blinked...then shrugged.
"Dunno. Don' have one yet." Mliss stared at her funny, then got a thoughtful look on her face. And smiled slightly.
"How's about 'Keani'?" The girl looked excited about that, nodding vigorously. "Alright than! Well, Keani, nice t'meetcha. I'm Mliss."

Uh...hell.
Mliss Journal Entry 1
Weird doesn't even BEGIN to describe the last 24 hours. Thankfully, I had the day off. Why? Because I had to tote around a...kid to get her clothes. Proper clothes. Well, my definition of proper. Namely, WARM. It's bleedin' winter! I'm not leaving a kid to freeze. Especially since I...seem to be stuck as her caretaker. Why? Because she seemed to be 'born' from an incense I bought.

I should really talk to the boy that sold it to me. Maybe HE knows what's up? The oddest parts? Well...one, Keani is just so damn...nonchalant about this. I mean, yeah, she's excited to see stuff and look around...but otherwise, carefree as a bird. And two...she smells like bananas. Seriously. Maybe...it's a side effect from the way she was 'born'? I dunno...this is like one of my dreams come to life. Not sure if it's a good one or a bad one yet.
