If the Cardinals would have won this game, I would have called this the bigger upset.

If they would have won, they would of had to overcome a 13 point deficite, which they did till the final touchdown by Big Ben. In which no other team in Superbowl history has ever come back from being down by that much to win. They were also 9-7, no team has ever gone 9-7 in the regular season and won a Superbowl. The point spread was about the same as last year. 6 and 1/2 to 7. So over coming that much of a point spread in the Superbowl would be just as grand as the Giants from a year ago. And finally, these are the Arizona Cardinals we are talking about. Previously the laughing stock of the NFL, arguably the worst franchise in the NFL. They lacked the status and potential to with the Superbowl that the Giants had last year.

So yes, IF the Cardinals would have held on to win this game, I would have called this one the bigger upset.

Well I think that the Giants Super Bowl XLII team was better than the Cardinals Super Bowl XLIII team. But I still think that if Arizona won, then the Giants still would have owned the bigger upset. There were a few teams in the NFL this season that were very good, but there was no powerhouse. No juggernaut. No blinding force, like the Patriots of last year. 18-0 going into the Super Bowl, with the statistically best offense in NFL history, a great coach, and a very solid defense.

...Anyways, in an ESPN nationwide poll last week, 55% of the U.S. picked the Cardinals to win Super Bowl XLIII. Not to mention, the Patriots were favored by more than 10, and the Steelers were favored by just over 6.
That Giants game was a good game, and the Patriots were amazing.

The Patriots had an amazing season, but weren't the Giants more amazing in the Super Bowl? wink

Ah. Laid a goose egg this year, huh? Don't worry, Cards are losing Boldin and will more than likely lose Warner, so their extremely dominant passing game will take a huge hit. Fitzy is still a beast, but you need a good QB to complement the WR. I think the 49ers will have a good chance to win the NFC West. But just remember; That's like winning the Academy Award against Fred Claus and Saw IV.

I actually think that it's more likely than not, that the Cardinals will still have Warner and Boldin next season. I think they'll still be able to win the NFC West.

Boldin says he's leaving, and Warner says he's unsure. At least, that's what he's been saying.

Warner seems like he's about to start contract talks with the Cardinals. I think that he'll be playing in the NFL for another year or two.

And Boldin really doesn't have any control over his situation in Arizona. As of now, he's still a member of the team. The Cardinals might trade him, but they'll want a lot in return. Since he's still a very good player, it wouldn't surprise me if the Cardinals make him play out the remaining two years on his contract. Larry Fitzgerald says that he's willing to re-do his deal in order to accommodate keeping Boldin, but I don't think that will happen. And the Cardinals definitely won't release him. Boldin could hold out, but that's a whole different story.

See? You always get really smart on me, and I don't know what to say, cause you've pretty much covered it all. Lol. I don't know about Warner. He seemed rather disappointed at the Pro bowl.

Well it's because Warner re-triggered a minor injury in the Pro Bowl, and only played the opening few minutes. I think that he only attempted like three passes.

...And yeah, if you lose the Super Bowl the week earlier, in what might be your last season, then you're bound to be disappointed...

Well I think that the Cardinals already used the franchise tag on another player, so they're probably confident that they can sign Warner to a new deal.
