For all of Keiran's silly behavior, he had a hard time understanding certain things, such as hiding in plain sight. To him, that seemed rather impossible given the contradicting definitions of both. "But how can you hide if you're in plain sight?" True, some people claimed that Keiran was intelligent, but definitely not at the right times.

Watching as Russ focused his attention somewhere else, Kerain pushed himself up and to poke his head back up between the other recruit's legs. Except this time he attempted to push himself higher so he could see over the table, not realizing the strange stares he'd received. No doubt the others were wondering why a head had popped up in front of Russ.

"Hey, look, it's Butterfly!" Keiran shouted as he spotted Kaela, as he had nicknamed her. Completely forgetting about the fact that he was trying to hide, Keiran managed to scramble out from under the table. Then he proceeded to climb onto the table and walk over everyone's plates, before slipping down to stand beside Kaela. "What's the matter, Butterfly? You look sad again..."

Kaela read the message off the dark-haired boy's lips and gave a quick, somewhat tight smile, hiding her momentary discomfort. The less terrified she looked, the less she would stand out, and the less unwanted attention she would receive. Her heartbeat slowed to almost normal, and she hesitantly tucked a stray lock of hair behind one ear, like so many other girls did. Then Keiran's voice sounded out clear across the rather largish space of tables and people between them.

A split second later he stood beside her, friendly and open as she remembered. The sudden proximity startled her, and she shied away ever so slightly before turning to almost meet his gaze. "I--I'm all right," she answered, her high, soft voice hardly more than a whisper. "Really, I'll be fine." She didn't want to worry Keiran, who was as close to a friend as she knew.

To the boy's question, Russ chuckled, shaking his head. "I'll tell you later." Truth was, he just didn't want to stare down beneath the table and murmur when Keiran could easily just come up and talk to him from the other side. It was amusing to a certain extent, but he'd prefer the other boy not down there right now.

He became aware of something between his legs again after checking on the girl, turning to look and see that Keiran was there but not stopping. It was a stunned look that overcame his face as the recruit clambered out between his legs (somebody was going to never let him forget this, he was almost certain of it) and ran over to the girl. A quick comment about his pants from the nearest recruit caused his eyes to roll and a small punch, meaningless and not hard, to be administered.

The other had meandered fully along the table by the time Russ stood, peering over. There seemed to be a sense of familiarity from Keiran, but the girl seemed unhappy. The smile she had given him had been convincing for the moment, but the way she didn't appear to be looking at the younger, and in no way threatening, boy worried him.

Dare he enter into her comfort zone? He could take it or leave it at face value, but he really didn't feel like listening to more teenager suggestions as to what Keiran had been under the table for, so he followed after Keiran, but kept a slight distance from the pair.

Keiran squinted as he examined Kaela. He knew he wasn't the best at reading people, but anyone could easily see that she was still upset over something. But he wasn't one to pry either, so let the issue drop as he looked around casually for something to distract her with. And his eyes spotted Russel who had stopped too far from them to introduce the two. Not that Keiran knew the other boy that well to begin with, but that was a good place to start.

Dashing over to Russ, Keiran grabbed the other boy's hand for the second time that day and proceeded to drag his fellow recruit over to Kaela. It would've been easier to pull Kaela towards Russ, but past events had taught Keiran that such an action would not go over very well. Girls seemed to have something against touching boys. But from what he'd seen, boys had no problems with touching girls... Keiran never saw the appeal in that. It was all very dependent on the individual's physical features, such as Kaela's soft pretty hair.

"This is Butterfly," he introduced her to Russ since he didn't know her name - she might've given it to him at some point, but he was horrible with names and wouldn't remember anyhow. Nicknames and physical traits were more his field. Speaking of which, Keiran glanced towards Russ, eyebrows furrowed in slight confusion. "What's your name?"

Kaela watched in silence as Keiran rushed over to the other boy and dragged him over, slightly nervous and wondering what he was up to. But when the only event was a fumbled introduction... she gave him a tiny, appreciative smile. He was trying to help her make friends.

She'd never come to realize that Keiran was rather odd in the minds of others, only knew he was friendlier, kinder, gentler to her than most. And that he shared a secret. For all she hardly knew him, she trusted him. She gave a shy little nod towards the dark-haired boy. "Actually, my name is Kaela...but if you like you can call me Butterfly." The nickname pleased her, as always, and speaking it made her feel warm inside, special.

"And my name is Keeva, and if you don't give me back what you stole, I'll be forced to make you, understand? And I can be very persuasive."

With white teeth gritted, the pink-braless-recruit practically glowed with rage in front of the boys. She had finally found them, after getting different directions from recruits and the kitchen staff. She had actually given a young male recruit a sharp slap when he took too long to answer her, teasing her in a flirty way instead of giving her the information straight out. But at last, she had found them!

"Your answer better be quick," she hissed, tossing her wet hair back over her shoulders, "or I'll get even more upset, which, I assure you, you do not want to happen." She placed her hands on her waist, and scowled at both Russ and Keiran. How dare they steal her bra, then stand there chatting with a girl innocently! Trouble was brewing like a storm on the wind for them.

His eyes had taken to flickering around the tables, looking for other signs that he might still be in sleep, dreaming. Surely, the bizarre activities around him were part of his mind telling him something, but, the question was: what? Russ nearly jumped when he felt the hand tugging on his again.

He followed after Keiran, chuckling quietly to himself. How could this get any worse? The introduction had him quirk an eyebrow, but her giving her own name made him nod, looking between her and Keiran. "I'm Russell. Russ, if you wa-" the voice that interrupted made him wince, looking towards the angry girl. "Hi, Keeva," he tried to sound pleasant.

Remembering suddenly that he was in possession of her bra, he wiggled his captured fingers, asking that Keiran let go. His hands then searched his pockets for the missing item, only coming out with a pink strand. He held it up before his eyes, a perplexed frown flickering on his face. "I lost it?" It was more a question than statement. He hadn't felt it slip...

Keiran grinned happily as the introductions were made, pleased with the way Kaela and Russ had relaxed. A good diversionary tactic in anyone else's eyes, but Keiran had simply forgotten about the fact that they were supposed to be running away and possibly hiding from a stampede of angry braless girls. (Un)fortunately, he was reminded of their circumstances by a rather sharp voice.

Cringing at her angry tone, Keiran furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he glanced at Keeva. For a moment, he had no idea what she was talking about since he wasn't one to stealing anything - borrowing, yes, since he always returned it in the end (though not necessarily in its original condition). He managed an uncertain "Erm..." before Russ interrupted.

Then realization dawned on him as Russ pulled out a pink strap - the bras! Keiran immediately bolted, pushing past a few recruits (who dropped their food), scrambling under a table (causing a couple of girls to squeal), climbed over a table (knocking all silverware and edibles off), and continued on his rampage through the dining hall (ignoring the shouts of protest as he barreled past and into people.

"You're kidding me!" Keeva's loud voice boomed around the cafeteria, making quite a few other recruits turn to stare. Her hands shook with anger as she stared at the strap. Keeva growled at Russell, and took a threatening step forward, before she noticed the other boy take off.

"Oh HELL NO," she shrieked. It was that little b@st@rd that had stolen her bra in the first place! Forgetting Russell for a minute, she took off after the blonde, dodging the startled and annoyed people who Keiran had run past. An idea quickly formed in her head, and without thinking of the consequences, she skidded to a halt, grabbed her left slip-on shoe, and chucked in sharply at the back of Keiran's head.

Russ had been back-tracking in his head, trying to recall the moment when the bra had slipped out. Maybe one of the other trainees had grabbed it when he had been preoccupied by Keiran. Speaking of the spaz, his head jerked as Keiran ran, followed by Keeva.

He was torn between the idea of leaving Butterfly, Kaela, alone and chasing after the two and trying not to cause a scene, but, as it were, it didn't seem to be profitable to try and stop that which was already in motion. Instead, he turned his attentions to his previous seat. A quick search did nothing, but spotting a bulge in another boy's pocket earned him the profit of the pink bra.

Rolling his eyes at the other, he turned to see Keeva throwing her shoe at Keiran. "Hey!" He yelled at Keeva, motioning for her to come to him, not wanting, really, to shout out about him having found her bra, in case newcomers to the dining hall had entered and should not be caught up in this little 'misunderstanding'.

A sudden voice, tense and angry, sounded very nearby. Kaela spun to avoid having her back to the stranger, freeing stray locks of hair from their loose tie in the quick, fluid movement. Despite Keeva's angry tone...well, she was female, less frightening. "Pardon me..." but before she could say a word more Keiran bolted, throwing the cafeteria once more into hysterical confusion.

She glanced awkwardly, nervously, at Russell, who had yelled something at Keeva but still stood nearby. Her apprehensions and fears were descending on her again, and a pleading came into her eyes without her knowledge. "Is it about the--" she gestured vaguely at the pink strap in his hand, embarrassed and very flustered. A question hung in her voice, but it was shadowed by some undercurrent as her eyes grew clouded with dark memories once again.

"Noooooooo!!!" Keiran continued to shriek, much to the painful ears of those nearby, as he dashed madly across the dining hall. Except he had very little room to run and the exits were blocked off by a large group of recruits coming in, so he ended up running circles around where Russ and Kaela were currently standing.

However, that seemed to do nothing to divert Keeva's attention as she chased after him. If Keiran had to choose, he would say that she was far scarier than Nightwing at the moment - good thing Nightwing wasn't here to hear that because Keiran might've changed his mind had the wolf heard the 'insult.'

Glancing back quickly to check on his escape progress, Keiran found a shoe flying straight towards him... and it hit him square in the forehead. The impact didn't really stop his forward momentum, but the shock did cause him to slow down and eventually trip over a chair. Unfortunately, he hadn't realized how his circling had slowly closed in on his original position and he was now right next to Russ. So he was now falling towards the other boy.

(OoC: More Keeva-ish color!)

"Gotcha!" Keeva giggled mischievously, pleased her shoe had reached it's intended target. She watched wickedly as the blonde weirdo tumbled towards the other boy. The bosomed girl didn't care if anyone was staring at their dramatic scene; that was their problem. She just wanted what was hers, and to make sure that the bra-stealing brat wouldn't try it again.

She had heard Russell calling for her, but ignored him. He was, after all, going to be her next victim, which meant she'd get to him soon enough. But it seemed Keiran was taking care of Russell's punishment all on his own. Oh, how she'd enjoy this.
