Thanks Plexus. I do have to agree with you about Steve Smith if he was 6'4". He would be better than Fitzgerald due to being faster, better hands and better technique.
As for DeSean, while heading up to the draft and even after the draft, he was drawing comparisons to Steve Smith. After his first year, he has shown that those comparisons have been warrented and that he has a lot more upside than people expected. All he has to do now is show he is intent on continuing to get better and continue to show the coaches he is ready to be the number one on this team.

If Smith was 6'4'', he wouldn't be faster, because he'd have to drag around another half a foot of height to go along with his weight. But yeah, he'd be like an Andre Johnson if he was taller.

Jackson had a nice rookie season for the Eagles, but I wouldn't compare him to Steve Smith just yet. Smith can a nose for the ball, and catches it at his highest point. He is also very physical. Jackson hasn't really shown either of those qualities, but it's still early. Jackson is also a threat because of his return skills.

Steve Smith his hands his strength and his speed he a complete reciever. He's the best reciever in the NFL.

Those three put him in the top 3. But Larry Fitzgerald is the best overall due to his size and just as good as hands.

Steve Smith is a top 5 receiver. Moss will probably return to the top 3 when Brady is fully healthy. Boldin and Wayne can make a run in too.
