I know that I'm searching in vain for a leader with enough balls to give a straight answer to a tough question, but I'm still disappointed that we won't have one for at least another 4 years.

As a leader of a nation your job is tough questions, I'm tired of these spineless cowards we've got to call politicians. I want a leader who will say what he means and that is the only way we can ever accurately know what Americans think.

We need a leader telling it like it is, saying this is what sucks, this is what's good, and this is what I'm going to do, if you agree with me elect me, if you don't, vote for the other guy.

Lee Iacoca was right when he asked where have all the leaders gone?

My answer, if I had to answer, would have been: Our auto companies are jokes that would fail in a free market. Let them die and shift those people and resources into commercializing fuel cell technology.

Well, They were good when everyone drove an SUV and Truck. And that was like 5-10 years ago....
So they do suck in a way.
I hate the Bailouts too!
I couldn't find myself voting for two presidential candidates who had voted for the bail out, it clearly shows they lack an understanding on the economic level.

Im ok with the idea of a bailout, but the way we do them sucks. Preserving a broken company like this will only cost us more later.

I'm Against them all, and I think the Bailout of the Big three is a big Fail!
Think about it, The price for a new car is 25,000-40,000. Now who has the money for a new car? Even though gas prices are falling, people are not driving! People are either car pooling or using public transportation. Because everything is going up. Especially food! It cost me 8.99 for a bag of oranges (1/2 of a pound) the other day.
Now I am against the bailouts because, these companies are now highly dependent on the government. When you are dependent on the government the more control they have on you.
EXAMPLE: If you live with your parents you are dependent on them. They tell you to clean upo room, finish vegetables, etc. because they are on top of you.
