The Cowboys lose Tony Romo for about 4 weeks due to a broken pinkie finger on his throwing hand. Brad Johnson will be his replacement. In their game, the Cowboys also lost Felix Jones for about 4 weeks, and punter Matt McBriar for the season.

The Redskins have signed former Seahawks RB and former MVP Shaun Alexander to a one year deal. The deal comes after the injury to Portis' backup, Ladell Betts.

The Detroit Lions have traded WR Roy Williams and a 2009 7th round draft pick to the Dallas Cowboys for a 2009 1st, 3rd, and 6th round draft pick. The Lions have also put QB John Kitna on IR.

The NFL has suspended CB Adam "Pacman" Jones for at least 4 games, due to his latest off-field incident. It seems that he violated his probation, when getting into a fight with a team-appointed guard, in an alcohol related problem.

After trade discussions and rumor, Chiefs TE Tony Gonzales stays put in Kansas City.

I cant believe they traded a WR for a 1st round pick... and they even added a 3rd and a 6th? confused Darn, that boy must be worth it (I have not seen him play, but I heard he went to the pro bowl in the past)

Who'd have guessed that Alexander would be a backup for the Redskins several years ago? (specially in the year in which he was MVP).

I really wanted to see Tony in another team.. he deserves a lot more than KC neutral Ah well, I guess they were asking for too much (No less than a 2nd round pick if Im not wrong)

And Pacman Jones... geez.. no comment.

Romo is lulz, Jones is a duh, Alexander is a surpirse ( big message to the other back up), Williams is a great idea for the Lions, they could do something this year with the draft.

Yeah, I was really surprised that the Cowboys gave up so much for Roy Williams. He is a very good receiver, but not great. Also, they are aging on the offensive line and secondary, and could have done better with draft picks. Props to the Lions for actually doing something productive.

I was surprised that it took so long for Shaun Alexander to be picked up. He still has quite a lot of juice left in the tank, and would have helped any team he went to. Shaun would have been a better fit somewhere else, where he could get the bulk of carries; not behind Portis in Washington.

Also, I really wanted the Giants to get Tony Gonzales. A third round pick is a bit much, and Tony is getting old with a high contract, but it would have been well worth it.
