It's not exactly focused on them, but I get all of my views on Centaurs from Tanya Huff's "The Last Wizard". I may write up the intro about how all races came to be, and we can modify it to fit Gaia.

I've seen Centaurs mentioned in all-encompasing mythology books, but nothing devoted specifically to them...

TheJackalGod I've seen Centaurs mentioned in all-encompasing mythology books, but nothing devoted specifically to them... I'd agree, I see them more as being part of a fantasy group than a creature of their own right. Like, you'll never see them getting the same stand-alone status as dragons, for example. You can find plenty on just unicorns, but nothing that I know of that is just centaurs. Someone needs to change that.

I guess Greek myths, where centaurs were portrayed as generally unlikable creatures.
That is SO not true.

Hmm...You don't see books solely about Centaurs, do you?
Lessee...Well, the Xanth books have a lot of centaurs. ^^; That's a good part of my literary exposure to Centaurs, other than Greek mythology...

well if u go online and look there are plenty of small but devoted groups to centaurs who share a lot of background info on them as well as stories/poems and art.
