Ugh.. too much.. I can't even surf the web now-a-days without having to constantly scan my computer.
It's not safe out there.. o.o;;
The best program I found out there is Windows Defender.. Which seems to be doing the trick 3nodding

But yah, the only thing you can do is keep scanning your computer 'n stuff..

I run Linux. I have no viruses. mrgreen

However, what I use on windows:

(anti-adware/spyware)
Spy-bot Search & Destroy
Lavasoft's Adaware

(firewall)
Zonealarm

(anti-virus)
Eset's Nod32


Oh, and I've seen both Spybot and Nod32 stop things cold in their tracks (nice popup windows saying that program such-and-such is trying to do whatever...), and Zonealarm is great for not letting things communicate to the net... baibai trojans... n_n



And though you fixed your problem, you should get some of the above, at least one of each group, an antivirus, antispyware, and a firewall... it will make your compy so much happier... and your mind a little easier knowing that *most* (nothing can catch everything) things will be stopped before they can do anything... So this won't happen again... ^_^
