~ Blackwort ~
Brash, irrational, and very, very angry
His history is relatively simple - he started life in the Watership Down warren and grew up there. He was relatively meek and quiet and kept his head low until he had grown in size. As he grew bigger and
became one of the stronger outskirters, he began to realize that members of his warren would sometimes do silly things to endanger themselves - like venture too far away from the down in order to
find flayrah. In the beginning he tried advising them to move them back, but when words didn't work, the young rabbit became frustrated. When he came across Cocklebur who was an Owsla, he began to watch him, and at times follow him from a distance. He learned pretty quickly that beating ignorant rabbits up worked much more effectively than words, and began to practise the idea when he could, hoping to be noticed by the older Owsla officer. This "beat it down" attitude got him into more than a few fights, and his ears bear the tales of his past scuffles.
One day, there was a blackbird on the Down, ignoring the other rabbits and pecking at grubs. The other rabbits were afraid of it, but Blackwort wasn't. He wandered up to it and gave it an almighty cuff with his paws, scaring it off with a flurry feathers as it flew away. At this point it was decided to make him an Owsla - he wasn't afraid of birds, which meant he would have a good temperment for defending the warren should it ever come to that.
Blackwort will often patrol the warren and the Down at times, and correct any rabbit who is wandering too far away for his liking.
He also has a weak spot for kittens.
