I have loved pirate-y things since I was a wee lass. I even have rubber duckies that are dressed in pirate garb! I wrote a story about them my freshman year of high school. 4laugh

Ninjas are cool in their own right, but I am ever loyal to the pirate! pirate

..! { I see "rubber duckie" and automatically think "Sesame Street".

Rubber duckie, you're the one,
You make bath time lots of fun,
Rubber duckie, I'm awfully fond of you...

Haha. I remember that Sesame Street. That one and "Splish Splash, I was taking a bath."

I actually happen to have two pirate rubber duckies. They sit atop my computer monitor. The captain has a hat and a rapier. The first mate has a bandana, eyepatch, and silver coins. I wrote a story about the captain called, "The Adventures of Captain Ducky and the Lizardpeople" back in my freshman year of high school. It is pretty hilariously awful. I never got past the third chapter I think.

..! { Splish, splash, I was takin' a bath,
All about a Saturday night,
Rubber-dub, just relaxin' in the tub,
Thinking everything's all right...

I used to know the rest. I still have a few Sesame Street CDs (albums?) at home, too. (Yay, younger siblings!)

Does anyone remember the Sesame Street song called "Put Down the Duckie"?

Hoots the owl sang it to Ernie and the last bit of the chorus part was "put down the duckie if you want to play the saxophone!"

I used to have 2 sesame street albums that i would play all the time on my Fisher Price record player. I think I gave away the albums though... oh well.

..! { Well, Oscar (or at least the grouches) had "Grouch Girls Don't Wanna Have Fun", and Cookie Monster had "Healthy Food" and a couple of others. Those are amongst my favourites. But yes, Ernie and Bert (children's television's first gay couple?) had a lot of the best ones. } #!.

*Revive*

Agreed on all parts. My eldest sister's favorite song was "C is for Cookie" sung by the Cookie Monster. She even had it as her ring tone while in college.

"What starts with C?
Cookie starts with C."
C is for Cookie.
That's good enough for me..."

It still gets stuck in my head on random occasions.

I have a duckie dressed as a badger in pajamas. I will post a link to the song that explains why when I find it.
