Well.

It's not so much as rules, but guidelines. The reason for this guild, it's focus, is fellowship and enjoying the company of believers in Christ. Fostering relationships, playing word games, finding out how everyone's day was, etc.

Things frowned upon are controversal issues, debates and such. The more "serious" subjects, while important and should be discussed, aren't for here. The reason for this is simple. There's a dozen other Christian guilds out there to discuss such matters.

So why devote the guild to fellowship and fun? Well, my experience in other Christian guilds, when the debates and issues are discussed, fellowship is kicked out. The guild becomes made up of more and more debates, more and more conflicting view points, and the fellowship is mostly or entirely lost. The atmosphere goes from getting to know other Christians and having a good time to trying to change the opinions of other Christians and arguing. I'm sure that's not how it is in all Christian guilds, that's just what I see pretty often.

And that about sums it up. The rules are to have a good time. If it sounds oppressive or like I'm trying to silence opinions and make everybody happy, I'm really not. I'm trying to give a place for the fellowship and love of Jesus Christ to thrive.


I mean come on, it's the love, joy, and fun that can be had in the body of Christ. It's a huge and beautiful thing! Deserves its own guild, don't ya think? smile
