Shayleigh blinked. Had she done something wrong? Her actions seemed perfectly logical- maybe the little boy had misunderstood her, or his idea of kisses were not as magically healing as hers. He could walk perfectly fine now, even her suggestion had helped! She giggled and akwardly stood herself and ran up to the boy and his guardian. "kiss talk make it better!" She really was a miracle worker, perhaps a career in medicine would be a good idea.

Anna had watched the exchange stuggling to maintain a straight face, but at the mans words burst out in fits of laughter. She stood and still giggling apoached the the man and children clustered around him. She scooped up her wayward charge and sat beside the stange man, Shay struggling to free herself from the woman's lap. "You should't give away your kisses so freely Shay, they'll be worth something when you get older and you wouldn't want to run out"

Shay stopped struggling and looked at Annabelle with terror in her eyes. Run out of kisses?!?!

Shayleigh looked from Anna to the stranger man, her guardian was using her boy talking voice. Like Aaron she rolled her eyes and slipped from Anna's lap to the ground. She looked at the little boys calculator curiously. She had seen him playing with it earlier as well.

Anna smiled warmly at the other parent, "of course! You didn't know? I ould think guys ould be thankful- imagine if we used them all early on and then ran out when it really mattered." She expanded on the story and then giggled. "Also I can talk some good bullshit if I try." She winked. "I'm Annabelle, but you can call me Anna. This little one," she motioned towards the puppy girl, "is Shayleigh."

Shayleigh looked down at her feet and then up threw her eyelashes at her introduction. She was shy with older people upon first meeting, though the shyness usually lasted all of ten minutes and was never dwelt on again. "'llo" She did take the time to comit Aaron's name to memory though, he was weird but amusing.

Anna chuckled at his comment and tossed her long curls back over her shoulder as she drew her shy child closer to her. " I think kisses will become more interesting when he gets older."

Shayleigh shook free of Anna's embrace and climbed up onto the bench to sit between the two adults, sand play entirely forgotten now that she could be included in big people stuff. The tug on her rather large ear surprised her and made her swing her head around to face Aaron- had he just pulled on her? She was used to having her ears scratched and her head petted but this was just too much!

"Shay is a bit of a handful, I work nights and I've never had one quite this little before but I have help at home," Anna responded honestly. "She is quiet but rather persistent. It has already cost me curtains and several pairs of nice shoes." The curtains had made a super hero cape and the heels of her shoes ice picks to climb 'Mount Everest'- in other words a large pile of blankets in the linen closet.

Shay couldn't quite figure this boy out- first he bothered her and the next minute he was offering a peaceful gesture. Very confusing but she didn't dwell on it- it was unpleasant and she didn't like unpleasant things. She took him up in his offer and grasped ahold of David's shirt. She pulled hard and squirmed up beside Aaron.

Anna blinked. MIcrowave? She was suddenly very thankful for her puppy girl, how did one even respond to that? "Oh dear..."

Anna snorted as well, "You forgot to add yet. He isn't jumping off chairs yet. Of course now that you mentioned it, he will be." She flashed him a friendly smile and glanced down at her watch, wondering how much longer she could stay away before Gam chased her down.

Shay giggled and wrinked her nose at Aaron's antics. He really did look a bit like a birdy and she wondered if he could really fly. Only one way to find out! "Aa fly?" she asked curiously prodding him carefully to see if he would loose his balance and suddenly take off.
