Selfish

Death is not the end,
but merely the beginning.
It starts a new painless life around the corner.
It frees the mind:
To venture outside the box,
To see the world from a new perspective,
To gain the knowledge that so many people seek.
To allow people to live, and let live.
To finally understand the differences,
In thoughts, In ideas, In beliefs.
It encourages people to understand
that everyone is combined in the fabric of a massive blanket,
hanging over the world,
our world
It persuades people to see,
that to condemn someone of being different,
When,
You should be condemned for saying such a stupid thing.
So,
When I die,
Don't cry and wish that I was still here,
In this painful world,
That is just Selfish.

What do you think???

That was really "inspiring" I know that sounds totally strange like 'you've inspired me to wrtie.' Ok never mind that (haha). That was a beautiful poem.

I'm not entirely sure how i feel about it. Mazuac mentioned it being so depressing. but i find that very hard to grab a hold of. its not quite depressing, in fact its almost celebratory. i do like that. a lot.

that almost optimistic pessimism. that look onto the suffering of the world and death and the unknown future acknowledging that it is not all cherry blossoms and delicious cake. but still there is a sense of splendor and honest celebration of the nature of life despite its hardships. i love finding that kind of thought in things, it makes the world so visceral, more intricate and makes my life, my suffering seem insignificant in the grander scheme.
