I clean the inside of my flute every time after I play it, but I lost the tool that cleans the head piece so I just clean that out later, if I remember. I also like to clean the outside before a concert or competition so it is sparkly and pretty!

I've never actually given my tuba a through in-and-out cleaning (it's not often I can bring it home) but I obsessively polish it every single day during class. It's the cleanest tuba in the school.

O.O I clean my cornet and trumpet once a month and clean the valves once a week...and go over it with a cloth before/after(depends on how I feel) I practice...who knows maybe I'm just OCD....or paranoid...which ever....

I usually give me trumpet a "bath" with soapy water and clean it out every month or two. Thats how long you should go before cleaning again.

Every day several times a day, depending on how often I play. My flute would KILL me if I didn't. Yes, he has the power to do that. He's already tried it on several occasions.

I play low brass, so it can get tricky...
If I play it in marching band, then I clean it at the end of band camp and before the home show (champs is no more than two/three weeks after, so that covers it)
If I play it in symphonic band, then I clean it three times; once when I recieve it, right before the winter concert, and right before the spring concert.
If I play it in jazz band, then I clean it once or twice, depending on how many festivals we attend.
