Personally, I think it's gonna be great. It looks so well done. Sure it's different, but all things are "different" when they first come out.

I really do like the idea. Infact I love the idea and even for a guy who doesn't have software to make games I still have games for the Rev that can work. Also it seems that Nintendo have solved the multi format problem with a nice add on that cradles the Rev' controller into another controller shell that makesplaying multi format games easiler. Ign's mock-up conventional controller cradle/shell I do have a problem with the cradle tho and thats games might not use the new things the controller is bring to the table. Also will we have to buy all these add-ons to full enjoy our fav' Rev' games? But in the end. Great. Can't wait. I want this bloody controller now.

I think it is innovative. You could use it for the Super Scope and Zapper games that you download into the system and for any Star Wars game intended for the Revolution. 3nodding

I think the new controller is orgasmic.
Its really cool. I like that its different from the old design, makes the competitors look lame and old fashioned xp

I like the way the controller was used in the video they showed at Iwata's little press conference in Japan.
How is Japan their main market? I know they're kinda like Sony in America but why havent they ever attended a TGS event? neutral

I heard you can use the GameCube discs with the revolution, anyways, now that I see that picture, I'm not as disaapoined, but still... I'm kinda against the remote thing...

this sucks for me though, I use the mini controller i have for gamecube. I got a red gamestop minimacro (make by madcats) and a wire;ess mini controller also made by madcats. I love that thing, It usues two AAA batteries, and the batteries seem to me to last forever. cause i heard the wabvebird eats batteries like there's no tomorrow.

I'm kinda against the remote thing... That's just 'cause you're not used to it. Nobody's really used to playing games one-handed, kind of makes some feel like they don't have full control. But it's like shifting from arcade gaming to console, or PC to handheld. Once you're there it's a whole new world of gaming.

exactly the point, shifting from worl of gaming to world of gaming is a new experience, so the shift from old two handed controller kinda gaming to single handed(peripherals adding to make 2 handed gaming), you can have 2 handed control for half the hands. it would benefit people who lost their hands from birth defects, and various accidents, vehicular, supernatural, or blatant. so the Revolution controller is made for a wider range of gamers, instead of you being required to wear a prostetic limb, you can have all your controls in a single hand, and it'll work for those who have reversed controls.
S/M gaminers range: two handed, left=movement, right=etc functions. children, teens, adults.
Nintendo gamers range(Revolution): standard 2 handed gamers(L=movement, R=etc functions), reverse control gamers(L=etcfunctions, R=movement), single handed gamers(one less arm). children, teens, adults, grandmothers, amputees, war vetrans.
so it works in the end, instead of having to turn the controller of the other guys upside down, or fiddle with a prostetic limb to move your character about the gaming environment, you can be one handed, and not look like a showoff at demos, instead, you'll have full control, and you could be an amputee, war vetrans could play games now with the ease of control. the Revolution is definately going to help out in bridging the gap between generations in terms of gaming. ^_^
