Xanul himself knew what love was, well kind of. It was a feeling, and something that mates had, somewhat like his parents. The Nobody thing confused it a bit (Hell, it confused everything.) but nevertheless, he knew. Just...not experienced it before, and it wasn't explained properly for him to realize his feelings either.
"No no...just um...embarrassing." There. He had said it. Yuffie embarrassed him. Thinking about it made him almost as red as a beetroot and he bit his lip. "She was talking about girlfriends...and I didn't quite understand at the time." He admitted.

Girlfriends. Boyfriends. Dating. To tell the truth... Orta knew the concept and the why of such things but she didn't understand. Mobo had been the only one with anything resembling romantic inclinations toward her as far as she knew, and that wasn't precisely... romantic. She'd been nomadic for the most part after all the fighting was done, the only place she really returned to or stayed at very long being Mobo's village, but sooner or later she'd wandered off again. And other people... either knew that she was a Drone and were afraid or uncomfortable, or knew she was a wanderer that lived mostly alone, and such people were rarely trusted. To be asked to take part in such a relationship would be both flattering and frightening, and she wasn't sure if she was really able to. Maybe with someone she was comfortable with... but that was a rather short list.
And having such a thing with Xanul was far from her mind. They were just friends, and if he was so afraid of having children for fear of passing on his powers, it wasn't like he'd be looking for a relationship anyway. Right?
"She was... teasing you, then?" Orta... well, she didn't really get teasing, either. She usually took it seriously, or if she realized what was going on didn't really react to it. It wasn't that she was a stick in the mud, or that she wasn't willing to try and play along... she just... didn't really know how to do that sort of thing. She didn't really know how to play, period. It wasn't like anyone had taken the time to teach her any games as a child. "Well... we do not have to meet her, if you would prefer. You have quite a few family members I have not met yet, in any case. There are plently of people for me to meet."

Perhaps it was because of how confusing his parent's relationship had been, especially when he was young, that he didn't really understand.
Ayako wished her son would have a relationship, even though he was adamant about not having kids. Although he was a Berserker, Xanul deserved to be loved. All her children did.
"Well yeah, kind of..." He trailed off. "Oh but she's quite fun!" He wanted to get Orta to play, and somehow he thought Yuffie could help. Jovial, although teasing. Someone to get Orta to relax. "But well...you could also meet Aurum!" His face brightened up. He was rather close to his cousin, after he had wrote letters to her during the period he had avoided friends and family...for most of the time.

Orta grinned her very small grin. "Well... perhaps we will just meet Yuffie later." She tilted her head for a moment at Aurum's name, thinking it over for a moment. "She is... one of Lilianna's?" She'd been at the party when Lily and Ed had announced about the kits... well, she'd been at Trel's, though she hadn't actually been around for the announcement itself. "I believe I have seen her visiting over at the Place... but I have not spoken with her." Her tails gave a small wag. "Let us go see if we can find her!" Orta was enjoying herself so far, anyway. Why not see what happened?
