User ImageHe had been more than a little cooped up lately; and when the chance to get out, and breathe some fresh air along with the sweet fragrance of honey and flowers came even remotely close, he hopped on it. Hopped and trampled on it like berries, and he had stained his over-furred paws a red as dark as wine. In a short, he was away from Fable and his protective antics, not to mention away from Tale and her utter crazy factor; and it felt like a sweet, sweet victory. He was James Bond, awesome spy, and he had just escaped a cage he had been trapped in for much too long. Now was his time to explore, now was his time take in his surroundings, and enjoy them.

... He just hoped that no one was looking for him.

A questioning look towards a fluttering butterfly, and Baako recalled silently that Fable envied those things like crazy. He always spoke about them... spoke about how if he had a second chance, he'd want to be a butterfly. Then he would talk about how lucky he was to have Shreya, and how if life really did give him the chance to be the graceful insect he adored so much, he would want her to be one too - because she was a gorgeous Kitsu, and she would make a gorgeous butterfly, and he wanted to be with her forever. Which was romantic... but Baako didn't care too much about romance. Romance was a fairy-tale thing, and he wasn't the fondest little lop of stories. Or at least, he liked stories - he just didn't like long and boring ones.

Long and boring stories were... long. And boring.

During these contemplations, he wandered the hillside. Cooing whenever he saw something colorful, or something interesting that moved. Like a lizard, or a rabbit. Rabbits he adored the most, of course, because they had the same interests as himself; burrowing. Carrots. Vegetables altogether, really. He just yearned for someone to converse with...

Obviously, once you grew to adulthood, you didn't need to be babysat anymore, right? Admittedly, Monday was fairly good about leaving his only daughter to her own devices, having long since given up on disciplining her, but as for Kalani...

Blue really wasn't sure why the bobtail still insisted on coming along sometimes; honestly, it was about as bad as Tuuli coming along, only instead of a perma-kit, she got her father's best friend, whom had been raised by Sunday and thus was fairly paranoid. Then again, the Lop had her suspicions that, given some recent events involving possible plans to build a rocket to the Moon, digging to China, and so forth, her father had drawn the line and sent the ocean-colored female to keep an eye on her.

Still, though, nobody had said she couldn't effectively ditch her childhood babysitter, and, thusly, October had taken up residence currently in an abandoned rabbit burrow, hidden by some tall grass, as the bobtail passed by, frantic.

"Blue? Blueee?" Kalani's voice called, "You know it's dangerous out here!"

He had hid himself behind an old tree when he heard Blue and her escort approaching. A small frown before he crawled back into sight, making his way towards the abandoned burrow the female lop had taken refuge in. A moment of inspecting the thing of which rabbits - or perhaps another lop, somewhere - had put so much hard work into. And then he poked his head right in, "Why heeellloooo there, stranger! You seem to be having oodles and oodles of fun. But why, may I ask, are you hiding? Is it a game? I love games~" From outside, he probably looked like an ostrich, little did he care. "Games are so delightful; unless, of course, they are boardgames, in which case they are boring. Oh, unless the certain board game is Guess Who... I love guessing. Maybe even Clue is okay, sometimes..."

After the realization that he had been rambling on, and rambling on more, he decided to change the topic to something more or less friendly.

"But this is beside the point, My Fair Lady~ I am Baako, Baako of Baakoland. And what, may I so bravely (bravely because you, my dear, are lovely on the eyes, indeed) ask, is your name?"

He wiggled his back a bit, long and floppy ears waiting patiently for her reply. Then, he was uncertain as to whether or not he would be giving her away to whoever she was hiding from, standing here like he was. If, in fact, they did see him; and question him, he would have to think up an excuse.

Perhaps he was befriending bunnies? Or trying to find water? Or maybe even digging his way to China...

"A game?" Blue repeated, pondering this, before deciding to take the idea and run with it, "You could say that, yes. I'm playing 'hide from the cops' doncha know~" she informed Baako, all too content to spin tales.

"Though unfortunately, the 'cops' in this case are friends of Daddy's, whom seem to think digging to China is an 'unsafe' activity," the lop continued.

"As for a name? I am but a humble lop known as Blue October, Baako of Baakoland~" the female greeted, "Perhaps at one point I was Lady October of the kingdom of flowers, but I'm sad to say that the Princess Tuuli has declared me a traitor. Didn't like me working for the other side, doncha know~"

Convinced that Kalani was long gone by now, October twitched an ear restlessly, contemplating her options.

"Saaaay~" Blue began, with an expression that never meant well, "How would you like to join me? Be a cool Lop and all that, doncha know~"

"Help me dig to China, maybe? Or would building a rocket to the Moon be more of your tastes?"

'Hide From the Cops'?

It sounded positively delightful. Fascinating. Then she mentioned that the cop was a friend of her fathers; and Baako from Baakoland curiously quirked a brow at Lady October of the Kingdom of Flowers. "A friend of your Daddy thinks that digging to China is an unsafe activity?" This, he did not understand. How in Carrot's name was digging to China 'unsafe'? There was no way - none. Or at least, none that the lop could think of. Then, he was not the brightest cupcake - and so, perhaps, there were reasons that he was unsure of. Reasons he had not heard of. Because nobody was around to tell him. Because the Kitsu who had parented him had kids of his own to worry about, now; and besides that, Fable was not all-too-bright, anyhow.

Then came the dragged-on 'Say~', and his tails wagged thoughtfully when he heard it; excitement fluttering in the pit of his stomach at what it may be about. He liked surprises; and so he could wait...

...

A cool lop? But he was already a cool Lop. He was the coolest loppy lop there was, and nobody could ever outdo him - ever, ever, ever. Then, she did have a cape. And Superman had capes, too. And so perhaps he was being outdone.

Then she mentioned digging to China, or building a rocket. "Oh my! A rocket, you say? Or digging a hole to China? But both require so much labor! But dear, oh me, that does sound oftly 'Make-Lop-History', doesn't it? I, for one, am delighted to be invited, and I accept the invitation humbly, my fair Lady October of the Kingdom of Flowers~! When do we start? How do we start? do we have helpers, or shall we gather some? Or shall we just work on it ourselves, and get all the fame and glory to ourselves~?"

"She thinks everything's unsafe," Blue emphasized, gesturing with a twirling motion to indicate what she thought of such a theory, "Course, so does Miss Sunday, but all she ever does is hide under the couch anyways, sooo~"

The Lop shrugged, purposely trailing off so as to add an air of mystery to her words...or something to that effect. Xianthe had taught the female how to spin stories and mix truth with fiction, and, while Blue simply preferred to exaggerate details, well, she did want to seem fairly amazing to Baako. Why? She wasn't sure, but October always did enjoy a chance to show what the Nobody had taught her.

"It is, it is~" Blue assured him, nodding, "We'd be the first lops to reach China, or even the first in space! You can tell all your friends about it~ And we'd make front page news."

Or at least that's how the plan laid out in her head, anyways.

"Helpers? Hm, hm..." she mused, "Well, Xianthe always did say outsourcing was cheaper~ soooo..."

Twirling was dangerous? Something he had never heard. Ah, and so he did learn something new every day. A cant of his head when 'Miss Sunday' was mentioned, and he figured after a moment that this miss must be some Kitsu, because he highly doubted weekdays could hide beneath sofas. Then, Blue was a tad bit on the strange side - as strange (perhaps stranger) than himself; and so, maybe she did mean that a weekday was taking refuge beneath couches. Of this, he was uncertain. This, he did not want to question; because contemplation always gave him headaches.

"The front page news, you say? My oh me, that is big." He grinned at her thoughtfully, "And I bet people would write books about our travels, and everyone would buy them - because - you know, they'd be so fascinating - and then we would totally be the coolest, most famous, wealthiest lops on the block. Wouldn't that just be fantastic?"

That would be fantastic.

He rose an eyebrow at the mention of someone new. Xianthe? Not familiar. Not one bit. Perhaps because he had not met too many other Kitsu, and she was one of the many he had yet to shake paws with. That was likely. Way likely. Tremendously likely. Exactly the case. Though he certainly would like to meet her someday. Then, he also wanted to meet dolphins; and whales. And seals. And walruses. But he was a terrible swimmer; and so the majority of his dreams were unlikely to come true, anyhow. "Xianthe?" He tried quietly; conversation that involved people was just as good as conversation involving rockets and holes, yes?

Nah, twirling, in Blue's case, generally meant she thought the other party was fairly crazy. Of course, really, 'crazy', for Blue included a broad expanse of Kitsu, not just Tuuli and her army, so to ask her to define such a word would be a chore in itself. This wasn't to say, of course, that October herself was fairly off-kilter; the Lop recognized the fact that she was a tad more enigmatic than her siblings, and sometimes on the same level as Tuuli, though still preferred to consider herself normal.

"Wonderfully, absolutely fantastic," she assured Baako, nodding, "We could live off our riches until we are old and gray~ if Lops even get that way, anyways. I'd certainly hope not, but when you hear people using that expression, you never know, hm?"

The blue Lop went over the ideas in her head for a moment, thinking of all the things the two of them could do together that'd make them filthy rich and famous. It wasn't everyday she met another that shared her view on things, after all, and even rarer when she found another Lop, among other things, that would agree to working with her. At the question in regards to Xianthe, though, the female paused, pondering how best to explain her.

"Xianthe is...my mentor, you could say," October explained, "She taught me what I need to know about life. She's also a 'witch', yanno. Princess Tuuli tried getting her on her side once, but then declared her an evil witch, and banished her."

"But enough about that~" Blue drawled, glancing at Baako curiously, "Tell me about you. What's your story?"

His story? What was there to say? Aside from the fact that he had been raised by Fable, there really wasn't much of a story. "I'm afraid that it is a boring tale, my dear - filled with much snore-worthy childhood, and even more snore-worthy adulthood. But you, my lady - a princess and a witch? It would be a lie and a sin if I told you I was not impressed." A small smile before he continued, "Impressive background - miraculously likable personality, amazingly clever; I'd say that you're the perfect business partner. Digging holes to China and building a rocket, then flying to the moon with you will be spectacular; of this, I am entirely certain."

He rose a brow, azure eyes watching her with peaking interest at the idea of turning gray. "I suppose we're already fairly blue; perhaps with aging, our fur will get old-dull-gray. I'm not sure; but it wouldn't surprise me too much." Baako's fluffy tails curled thoughtfully whilst he spoke, his nose wrinkled as he imagined the two of them elderly. Long eyebrows, fur that hid their eyes from the view of others - and others from the view of themselves. Slow steps, due to age - he could imagine it all so clearly...

He could not really say he liked the idea...

Aside from the fact that Blue October was there with him. His business partner; a mad genius. That was certainly something smile-worthy. He grinned at her, "So - my friendly friend, when, exactly, should we begin our awesome adventures? Our awesome creations? Because I, for one, have days filled with little if any excitement - and you could be just the goddess I am looking for."
