Our bus rides are always so random. It takes about Three busses for our band to go anywhere, so there's always this mad scramble to get on the same bus as all your freinds.
One time, while we were going fromamin street to the cemetary for Memorial Day (not a long ride) our BD made the mistake of handing out Chocolate bars to all of us. We were so hyper...
My freind's holding her wrapper and is like "I;m not supposed to have chocolate. I need to hide the evidence!"
So she put the wrapper in her hat.

I love our bus rides sometimes. We just randomly start singing songs that everyone knows and if they don't then they know them by the end of the ride. Last year we only had one bus since our band consisted of like 30 people including the color guard. It was really loud. This year we had two bus because our band doubled in size. We had the quiet bus and the party bus. I was usually on the party bus. Our bus got the whole band into trouble because people weren't obeying the six-inch rule and we went the whole trip back home with the lights on. The band got mad and sang The Song That Never Ends for like twenty miles just to get the band boosters mad.

ok so were going on a bus ride to a competition in D.C. so half way there we go to a taco bell in some town in the middle of nowhere so NOONE is there (thats why we chose it) well all my friends (almost half the band) decide to really screw up our orders to mess around with the clerk well they screwed up about 60 peoples orders, turns out they had a you don't get the right order you get it free policy, well the manager gets really mad and calls corporate and gets them to change the policy, when we get to D.C. we stop at another taco bell well this time they only screwed up my order and i told them that i want my food free now because of the messed up order and the clerk says, "I'm sorry sir i cant do that," and im like why and he says "because some stupid band students coming to the exact competition your going to had to screw up their orders and costed the taco bell hundreds in food cost," and im like so and he says, "so the manager called corporate and got them to change the policy, so because we screwed up our orders so much we had to change in the bus on the way there and we got sooooo tourchered by our BD

our bus rides arent reall that crazy. we only went on one, and it was about 10 minutes long. but me and my friend found some ring pops in our backpacks, so after we were done with the concert that we had to go to, we ate the ring pops and we kept on sticking our tounges out at each other since it turned our tounges different colors. it was fun mrgreen blaugh

on the way back from my orchestra festival (sorry not band but whtev) we had like the orchestra and the adv. orchestra on one bus and the adv kids had a little stuffed mouse that they were throwing around. Its name was porkchop. The busdriver caought thema nd they got yeled at for throwing stuff.
also my friend summer and i were sitting behind lacee and paul and paul kept tickling lacee and me and summer kept making irty stories about it

I think one of the best events of a coach ride with my band...ever...was when we were found to be radioactive when we crossed the channel. Theres a brilliant photo of all of us being scanned for radiation at Dover. whee
The best stories however come from riding in the mini bus which transports all the equipment.
On one occasion, the door flew open when we were driving along the motorway and one of the boys almost fell out before we managed to close the door.
On another occasion I hit my head on the door getting out of the mini bus and knocked myself out. No one noticed. I just lay on the pavement for a few minutes, woke up, and got yelled at for not helping to unload.

Yup, I love band rides! Especially when your middle school band school just won a first place trophy in music in the parks!!!!!

rofl We just went to hershey park today, and the ride home was AMAZING!
I sat in the back of the bus, and there was a your mom contest. They were hilarious. xd "Your mom's so fat, she was the star of James and the Giant Peach!" "Your mom's like a gun- three cocks, and she blows!"
Yeah...and a seventh grader said that last one. xd

Rides on the band bus are awesome! On the way, you can talk about ANYTHING and EVERYTHING (and sometimes that's really what happens...one of my friends told me about how she was on the band bus and overheard three guys comparing the size of their...um...jewels and the lenght of their...erm...well...you get the drift...
On the way back, you can talk some more and/or sleep some!
I just love band bus rides!

I absoultely love band bus rides! heart I think this year the funniest one was to our first competition for Winter/Indoor. We had to go to the school at 5 in the morning and no one was there yet to open the doors and when they finally did we were running late so Guard is freaking out. Half way there a guard member realizes so doesn't have anything, her uniform nor her flags/rifles. At the rest stop my friend spotted a guy in like a yellow sheet thing laying on the bench and is like "Oh my god! Is that a dead guy?" so I'm going WTF? and look to see that you can't see him breathing. Well, on the way back we stopped at that rest stop and he was still there. And my friend ran back on the bus and told the directors. They patted her on the head and sat her down and closed the doors. xp So now everytime we've gone to that rest stop we look for him.

I've never been on a bus trip with my school band, but for my Air Cadet Pipes and Drums band... Oh, we were sooo bad, especially because my friends Shelby and Erik were there with us!
