I need advice. Again. Of course I already know the answer, but being me, want other people's input. Plus, this guild is dying again, so might as well give it some action.
So there's my job at Best Friends. I tried to quit but got talked out of it, became an on-call employee. Began to hate the job so much, I just stopped answering calls and I basically disappeared from their center of the planet.
Problem is, I've still got two to three paychecks sitting in the building that I kind of need. If I go there, they'll want to ask what's going on, and I'll have to try and quit again. It's kind of against the law for me to send someone else in to pick up my paycheck. Or at least, that's what The Best Friends(where I work) Management said.
My mom says I can't quit over the phone, and I don't want to be talked out of this again. I mean, even if I do, I won't reply to any calls, but I'm a shy persons o say yes to s**t so they'll just shut up.
Point being, how should I go about getting the paychecks? I debated going in when they were publically closed, but when I know the doors are open to just grab the checks and run, but I don't want ot risk being arrested and stuff.
PS: Vague, trust the bank yet?

I say go in there get your cheques and tell them you quit. If you aren't answering any of their calls I don't think they'll want to keep you around.

But I think if you say "I really want to quit" that they might say "ok" seeing as you avoid their calls anyways.

Well you just gotta quit. I mean you've already probably irked them a little bit by not showing up for work and not answering their calls, so if you're lucky maybe they'll fire you. But if you go in and they act like they're doing the favor by letting you keep your job, just politely say that you don't think can fufill the time or interest requirements for your job, or just say that you're not happy there and it's not what you want anymore. Simple and clean...neh?

Practice saying No. No. Nnnno. Nnnnnoooooo. NO! It isn't all that hard. If you're having trouble, just focus on something that makes you angry, and use that anger to quit. [Q] PS: Vague, trust the bank yet? Gaia Problems thread Key: UNRESOLVED - New Issue, or no resolution has been foundItems disappearing during trades July 19 Many users have reported items vanishing from the trade window and their inventory when attempting to either start or confirm a trade at the bank. It seems to be a random ocurrance. Use the bank at your own risk.

I can practice saying no all I want. Put me infront of someone who actually has authority over my life, like employers, it doesn't matter how often I've practiced, it isn't coming out. Vague, Yeah, but they leave bugs there from last year that are still around and low risk levels. Buuut, today, they added something new. So now I'm even wary of using the bank. Lesson learned on my part, although I'm not missing any itmes and I've traded up the wazoo.

Just go in and get the checks, and if on the off chance that they actually want to keep you as an on call employee it won't really matter. You will already have the money so you won't have any need to go back. Honestly if they have wanted to keep you around after all of this it's kinda their own fault if they get burned by you. It's not like you didn't try to quit several times.

Well, you guys should've seen me. I sucked so bad.
See, I went in to pick up my pay check (Which only turned out to be a measly $44 USD, cause it was only for one day I had worked that one week.. Anyway..), luckily business was slow and my boss(Biya) was on the phone.
So I got in, I took it, she got off, started a conversation about my fingers(the dog bite) and I was standing there, pale, voice insanely soft, twirling the paycheck in my hand.
And this is what I said. This is LITERALLY what I said: "Yeah... I was wonder if.. It was okay if I kind of.. Didn't work here anymore..."
How pathetic is that? Turns out someone had already assumed that and my other boss(Stevie) have already filled out the paperwork, claiming she did it after the 3rd call when I didn't answer.
Um, I only ever got one call. Just One. Whatever, I don't work there any more, so that's good enough for me. Stupid 44 bucks.
