I love them!! I didn't want the dimples that were brought on by cheek piercings or the annoying healing.. or the biting on the bars.. Yeah. The anchoring process did not hurt AT ALL. It felt like someone was pinching me on the cheeks really hard and annoying-like. The healing process has been entirely manageable with little to no pain. The only time they hurt is when I catch something under the disk. Ouch. Stupid sweaters...
Because it's still a RELATIVELY new procedure, the piercer I go to charges $90 an anchor. Partially because each piece of jewelry is $15 wholesale(the dermal punches are expensive too), but because well.. he can. And he does a very good job with it. And people will pay it so why not charge it I suppose. I'm sure once it gets more common, prices will drop. Luckily, the piercer uses me to promote his business quite a bit(I work on some art for him too), so me and my boyfriend both got to be his guinea pigs for the dermal anchoring process.

Boyfriend's anchor.
I see these more and more, recently. I have a feeling that they're going to get really popular really soon. Unfortunately, there are going to be a LOT of idiots with them, I feel, considering they're halfway permanent(you have to get them cut out) and people seem to cycle through piercings like mad these days.
I've really been dying to share that with you guys for a while now xD
Oh! And as a side note, my ears are now 1/2"!!! :dances: My boyfriend bought me those glass plugs you see me wearing there. Quite the incentive to stretch up to fit em. My goal size at the MOMENT is 1" but we'll see..
