Yeah, a lot... well, some of the guys on our line are pretty headstrong and act all high and mighty. Mostly the two senior snares we have. Ones overbearing, and is just too uptight and controlling. The other, for lack of a better word, is just a douche. All the others are pretty cool with one another, like brothers and sisters.
And I'm a third year tenor! Woo!

Hm. I'm currently a freshman...
Next year I'll be THE. ONLY. GIRL. playing percussion. Wah.
Well, I'm the only one who tried out for all-district who's not graduating...I might out-rank the sophomore (well, he'd be a junior) next year if our director puts me as section leader. XD
All the guys in our percussion who aren't seniors are kinda...mean. Then, they've mocked me since day 1 of band in sixth grade. (except the new guy who transferred from clarinet, and the one who moved here in eighth grade...)

(except the new guy who transferred from clarinet, and the one who moved here in eighth grade...) I can relate. Last year, I was the only female out of 8 percussionists. Though this year, there's 2 girls out of 10, it's still hard. Most of the guys are cocky, two faced douche bags.

For a year or two we had these four snares (some of them switched now), and we called them the four stooges. They would always cause a commotion, didn't do their share, or were just idiots. Our instructors were going to kick them out but didn't (they are WAY too nice). However the one stopped associating with them, and the other actually cleaned his act up...for the most part. The one also quit. We have an even number of girls and guys. We just got a bunch of wight graders (soooo many @-@)Also another thing that bothers me, (although it IS partially true), is how everyone always rags on the pit. We (the pit) always carry our band and drumline, then they go on about how we are such slackers because we don't march. I mean seriously, how would you march a marimba?

Lol, Im not one to be a jerk, but I couldnt help this: I made quads my sophomore year, along with a friend, and a girl. The section leader had been my friend since 7th grade, and the other guy became my friend instantly, the girl I had known since 7th grade too, but she was stuck up. So us 3 guys rebelled against her lol but it still took 2 full years before she quit to be a cheerleader. razz Yah our line has been notorious for being jerks to the girls, good thing i graduated lol biggrin

Right now I'm in the pit, but I'm going to switch to cymbals come outdoor. I WOULD be going onto bass but they're all taken up and my sister extended the offer of teaching me to march and play. (And I'll still be better than half of 'em!)

We weren't assholes to our girls but we did pick on them a lot, lol. But they could take jokes and dish them back out twice as hard so it was all in good fun.

Almost everyone on my line is nice, accept the top bass player *Shes a girl!* shes a snake in the grass and i dont really like her to much... the other cymbal player picks on me a lot, whenever i mess up, he points it out cuz he had played a year longer than me.
I play Cymbals and 3/4 bass.(only when i have to tho, i love cymbals!)
