Welcome! I'm not Nichiren, but I've done some research on the sect and Soka Gokkai. However, according to at least one old guild poll, there are at least a couple in the membership.

I'm a Nichiren Buddhist. I don't practice with the SGI anymore; however, there are a few Soka Gakkai members down the mountain. The nearest SGI kaikan is in El Paso, TX, about 3 hours from here. I guess you'd call me an Independent or closer to Nichiren Shu (not Nichiren Shoshu though).
