I don't know much about them, although I own one.
I'm curious as to how one crystal gazes? Is it concentrating hard or something else?
Also I'd like to know other peoples experiences with them. Are they a form divination like the Tarot cards? Although they seem to be very different. Interpreting cards and seeing things just seem to be different, and the latter seems to be very difficult for me to attempt. sweatdrop
Any tips I could use when I try it?

What kind of "crystal" is it? Poured, carved? Is it just glass?
Is it clear or is it colored?
Is it quartz or another material?
Scrying varies depending on tradition. Do you draw from a specific tradition?

No traditions really...I lack all knowledge of them.
It's glass, clear, and I don't believe it's any other material. I got it as a present so I don't know what it's specifically made from.

Without any idea of what spiritual beliefs you hold, I'm not sure how to continue.
Scrying can be explained by soft sciences as linking the rational mind with the subconscious.
Other traditions explain the roles of spirits and deities.
Still others suggest the material itself has properties.
