"There's a spaceship on the roof of the building, something inside is making noise, the door seems stuck , do we have any chisels or crowbars." Trinket said standing in the doorway looking tired.
Alisdare wasn't sure what amused him more, his husband's first statement or the fact that Trinket actually thought there may be either of those items in their apartment. "What sort of spaceship? The ones kids keep playing with since Halloween a while back? I thought they weren’t supposed to run anymore, for that matter I didn’t know they flew that high.”
Eyeing his violet skinned partner Dare wondered if perhaps this was some sort of prank or ruse to get him to go onto the roof with them. Between Trinket’s working and raising Brianna the two hadn’t had much alone time together in a while and that was probably bothering him.
Trinket rolled his eyes and frowned " I don't know it's just, ******** it fell from the sky ok and there's something stuck inside and it doesn't sound happy to be there."
It was obvious now that this wasn't a joke or a ruse but Dare still wasn't sure what to do. They didn't have anything like that in the house, maybe if the two of them kicked it or something the door would pop open.
" I wanna see an alien" A small multicoloured blur named Brianna zoomed from the living room into the kitchen then out the door before Dare or Trinket could stop her.
Since neither man trusted the avian DNA'd pokegirl up on the roof the pair raced after her hoping to prevent a disaster. Fortunately they found her poking about the spaceship that had crashed upon the roof.
Dare thought it was odd looking oblong mostly expect for where it had crumpled upon impact. It was decorated with strange symbols in many different colours, Dare figured it was a message or maybe a warning, who knew that was inside. Someone had to find though as even he could hear wailing echoing outwards towards them.
A concerned look on his face Dare approached the broken hatch as Trinket dragged Brianna back. The bronze skinned man examined the hatch closely, there didn't appear to be any way to open it and it didn't seem that whatever was inside could do anything either.
It's wails became soft pleading keens and Dare swore. He hopped he wasn't about to unleash a monster by trying to open this thing. How could he deny it's cries though. His orange eyes spotted what in a hurry trinkets had not. Bending down he picked up a pirce of scrap metal that had come of the ship. Wedging it into the seam of the hatch Dare pulled down with his weight and tried to pop the stupid thing open.
There was nothing.. nothing .. nothing and this a hiss of compressed air and sort of popping sound before Dare fell backwards and knocked himself out.
When he came too he as back in the house Trinket was nervously was holding a very strange looking baby while Brianna looked on and babbled excitedly. Dare wasn't certain f it was the nausea from the unconsciousness or the sudden fear from the situation he found him in that made him throw up, either way it didn't really help.

So Trinket and I have adopted another child. Well not formally but after it literally crash landed onto the roof of our apartment what else could we do? Jamie as we've taken to calling it, the kid has no genitalia it's sorta odd but apparently they don't seem to need it. Jamie is a cute little bundle of joy even if they are far odder than our other child Brianna. For one Jamie doesn't eat properly, as far was we can tell they just seem to absorb sunlight and drink water and then bam they have food, anything else we give our little baby and they throw up and get pale looking.. except for plant food which trinket had the ever so bright idea of giving very diluted to them.
I swear I could have killed the man if I didn't love him so much. Flower hair and toe roots aside you just don;t assume the kid is mostly plant and give them plant food. At it least Jamie doesn't seem adversely affected by it as of yet. Still we're taking them to see a doctor soon.
All in all aside from their odd , but who am I to talk, appearance Jamie is a normal baby, drinking, sleeping and crying most of the day. They haven't shown an interest in much of anything as of yet.
Brianna adores her sibling and likes to do yo-yo tricks to try and impress Jamie as well as hold the bottle for them when they drink. It's sort of cute and I'm glad that despite big age differences all goes well between them for now.
Not much else to say yet.
Alisdare.
Note: Must remember to visit mom soon and let her spoil Jamie a bit.
