This journey begins in a relatively small and secluded village. But this isn't just any ordinary village, but one existing in a world where magic exists and anything is possible. But the peace of this village could only last for so long. A group of invaders came in from a neighboring country with a grudge against the village. All hell broke loose, and everyone who was old enough fought. Many were killed and others still were taken captive by the invaders, leaving a small group of young teenagers without families. The village elders have taught them much in the ways of their skills, honing them to near perfection. But word has come that the invaders are coming again, this time with even more destructive power. It is time for these fledglings to truly find their own strength, going out on their own to not only protect their village, but to search out those taken captive.

Rules:
1. No God-modding. Certain events can be brought up to make the story more interesting, but I will guide the story enough as will we all together.
2. Keep foul language to a minimum.
3. Try to be literate.
4. No killing other characters. Feuds may erupt and you may break off from the main group, but hopefully we'll all end up back together. No death.
You may create multiple characters, but try to limit it to two. Three is ok, but then it gets confusing.
I will control "NPCs" such as the village elders and the invaders. If you wish to take the role of one of them at some point in time, let me know, either from a post or PM. But I think we have enough to go on for a while.

Bio: In the invasion, her parents were both killed and her brother taken. She desires to find her brother as well as find the motives behind attacking the village. She is peaceful and an empath.

Appearance: Cold silvery-blue eyes, short dirty blond hair, about 6' 1", a mischievous smile on his lips
Magic: his magic is dark and treacherous, he controls fire and shadows
Age: 17
Bio: He and his brother were always at odds their entire lives, his brother always being better, stronger, more kind. Farein had always resented him, until his brother, along with his parents, were killed in the battle. Since then he has been plagued with guilt and hopes that the upcoming fight will rid him of it. He is cold, distant and sarcastic a lot of the time. But that outward appearance is a facade, made to protect him from more pain.

Appearance: Pale skin, short white hair, and gray eyes, lithe build, seemingly frail.
Magic: Teleportation and manipulating objects are his specialties, and can also use concealment abilities
Age: 15
Bio: When the invaders arrived they took his parents, but when they found him in his room they were repulsed by his appearance and thought him a demon, they were going to kill him but the moment they struck he vanished. But in reality he actually teleported into the basement, a mere few feet below his room. And there he stayed until one of the eldrs heard his cries. Being in the dark so long in his developing stages, his eyes work best in the dark, being able to see for great distances with minimal light.

She learned how to control the minds of others and made one of her greatest powers. She can also create things by using that power aginst enemies that is if her weapons don't do it for her.

Name:Anae Appearance:  Magic: Earth and water only Age:15 Bio: She grew up in a large city, but eventually her parents fled, for fear of the wrath of a nobleman they had served. When they brought her to the village, she still remembered life in the city, and spent most of her time outside and away from the village. Can become very hyper and odd at times, other times can be quiet and and indifferent. Parents died in the invasion, and lost her younger sister to the invaders. Wants nothing more than to find her.

Name:Loreta Appearance:  Magic:Water, fire, and time Age:14 Bio: forced 2 live and learn on her own. little 5 year old sister lost to the invaders and on their search for her , loreta's parents were killed. spent most of her days mastering her skills with her elders. still wants her revenge. has more of a dark side to herself. she carries around her little sister's piggy to remember her and never forget.

Hair: Purple, Straight, Very Long so it hangs around her thighs.
Eyes: Very light violet, almost grey but changes to black when using her powers.
Apearance: Wears a long black skirt, black with purple corseted singlet, a black coat that trails along the ground behind her.
Powers: can manipulate shadows, stop time briefly.
Bio: Although she was a child born to the invaders, as a baby she was abandoned and found wondering around the village with a pack of wolves at age ten. Once found she was taken in by one of the familys of the village. Now 15 and her makeshift family dead she with the help of the elders have honed her evil oriented powers.

Appearance: He has a deep blue, almost black, mess of hair lying on top of his head with dark red eyes. He is typically seen wearing old, ragged clothes.
Magic: Mainly necromancy, but can also summon elemental weapons
Age: 17
Bio: He was almost kidnapped by the invaders until someone came and rescued him. The invaders took Dairin's rescuer and left him in the dust. Dairin then returned to the village and promised that he would save that man.
