Not sure which neo board was good for reviving, so I hope ya'll don't mind the new topic. smile
Ok, a friend of mine got their account hacked and I remember back in the days when I was following the purkle yahoo group there were people there who knew names of administrators to email directly for help. Poor brave Brent just wants his account back for the username's sake (piratebrent). Perhaps he'll get his account back without help, but you know neopets.. x.x
Been trying to cut down on neopets myself, really.. Too much work, LOL! smile And oh so many other issues.. 0.0

I'm not sure of any names that could be mailed directly, and I can't think who may have mentioned them, although I do remember that too.
Hopefully just filling out the form will be enough, although I also remember one case where someone was hacked and they wouldn't return the account because they couldn't prove who owned it first. (You'd think they'd have an IP record! Or at least stuff on the form would prove it, like what original pets were on there and as what, which were adopted, which were created, who was pounded, etc.)

*nod* It seems like a clear cut enough type of a case, hopefully with time he'll get it back.. Speed isn't one of TNT's virtues. wink At least it wasn't one of those insane "Hey, you cussed!! ICE!" things where people get frozen for saying ROTFLMAO (..in which case they did cuss..) or iced for some insane thing like cheating on games when you get too nice of a high score.

I wish your friend the best, dragonfly... we all know just how strict TNT has gotten with everything. I think it's kind of silly really, but it has definitely gotten progressively worse over the years. I hope he at least gets his account back but I wouldn't hold my breath if I were him. It's a shame that they seem so centered on the business aspect of things these days instead of the actual playing of the game.

They don't seem to care about all the long-time players who invested a lot of their time and money into it only to be frozen over stupid things. They seriously need to make that more of a priority, and if necessary, hire a huge and friendly and dedicated staff whose sole job it is to look into each of these account cases more thoroughly. They've had a lot better reputation and solid future if they would.

*nod* I absolutely agree.. Despite subeta's problem with that idiot hacker and his gang that made a mess both here and there over something so stupid as an enlongated cat.. and their server problems, at least they have staff on call all the time, on the boards, and you can even have a disagreement with them. razz (Yep, I've unfortunately tried that. razz )
The lack of staff is what enabled me and my friends to actually get bullied (by adults! x.x) for over a year at the stockmarket board, with hate pets and hate users made about a few of us, without anything ever happening to them. They were smart enough not to cuss in a visible way. It's insane.. (We apparently were "rude" for not shmoozing with the regulars before making our chat board at the stockmarket. 0.o They hunt down anyone new that isn't cool enough still. Needless to say, I don't go there anymore.)
*kicks gaia fishing* Gimme fish.. razz Ah well..
Anyway, my playing is down to the minimum at neopets, I basically go there for the people I know, my daily stock and the guilds. I'm up to 8 times counted as having send a chain mail, even though I've sent none, so what's the betting that sooner or later they'll ice me for chain letters? razz
