Fai nodded numbly in response, his gaze kept blankly at the wall off to the side. Kurogane was like a warm and humming buzz with the angry flow his blood had recently made. Wow, that was a quick reaction to sedating the ninja's anger. Blue eye blinked at the obvious feel of feathers against his form, except they weren't his own. They were bigger and darker, a messy blanket over his own sky colored ones.
The paler kitsu shifted back just enough to catch a glimpse of the others face, an honest smile tugging on his maw. Was Kuro....giving him a hug? "Hyuuu!" The mage lifted his arms suddenly, slouching against the stoic ninja with his arms around his neck. "Why didn't Kurorin just say so?" If that's what it took for his friends to be happy, he'd do it. Just like for King Ashura, he'd manage to smile. He'd manage to be honest too. Fai tucked his face back into the others shoulder, voice dropping to a low and happy tone. "I'll try...is that enough?"

Kurogane held still as he felt the mage's arms around his neck. His knee jerk reaction was that of an embarrassed ninja, consisting of tensing up and muttering some names at the mage, but he kept those to himself and held still. He did keep his arms at his sides though, only tightening the hug that he was making with his wings by bringing the mage closer.
" You make it hard to say things y'know?" Which was true, but it was his own ego that made it even harder. He huffed at himself before leaning his head against the mage's, listening to him talk.
The ninja smirked as he heard a genuine happiness in the mage's tone.
" It's enough. As long...as you try." The ninja nodded, feeling the blush from embarrassment slowly starting to hit his cheeks.
"Tch...."
